"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

So guys, i want to hear your input. if you'll have kids someday, and it so happens one of your kids was a girl, then comes a time she had reached legal age to date, would you prefer her to be in a relationship with a nice guy or a guy with a dj mentality such as yours?
Being into the same shoes earlier in your youth, Are there any particular thing you would like her to know or to learn for her own sake since you care for her as your daughter?

What do you think is the pros and cons of her dating a nice guy/dj ?

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

This is a hard one to answer because people define the terms differently. A DJ around here is often thought of as a strong, masculine, renaissance man. It doesn't necessarily mean he is a womanizer. In that case I would definitely choose the DJ for her, because a lot of guys here believe in being true to their commitments.

On the other hand, if by "DJ" you mean a player/alpha jerk, then I would pick the nice guy, because he would most likely at least make sure he was well taken care of. A player jerk would care mainly about himself, and certainly would cheat on her.

I am raising my 17-yr old daughter on my own and have been for coming up on 6 years. Her mother is a waste and out of the picture.

The conversations we have are both fascinating and terrifying. I get to do all the stuff that both parents usually do. She's at the front end of dating and such. And we talk about all of it.

My daughter has a unique way to see how boy-girl relationships happen and work and how they don't work. She won't get played by 'players'. She will choose who she gets involved with and on her terms.

She's quite a young woman.

I've been talking to my 10yo daughter honestly, telling her what to be careful of when she does start dating, and also telling her that I will not approve of her dating until she is 40. Her answer to that is she will compromise with me at 20. lol

I normally talk to my daughter similar to how I might talk to a male friend. I call her "butthead" and "punk" and other non standard names. I also call her out on her BS just like I would anyone else. I don't normally call her stuff like "honey" or "sweetie" but one day when she was sick I accidently called her "honey" and her response to that was "eww dad, that is disgusting to hear you call me something so mushey and gay like "honey". It just doesn't fit coming from you, dad. WOuld you stop please, and just call me "butthead" like you always do? " So will my daughter date a nice guy? Hmmm, I highly doubt it, but you never know..

Since I have SONS, I don't get much call for the conversation. I did have it with my cousins daughter....we were talking about her lack of dating{in a 1 year RN program}. I told her when she has TIME, she can date. MEN do, WOMEN talk like it's a F'ng Olympic Sport... DON'T date a man who can talk...see what he DOES with his life

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
