Younger chicks who live on their own

So I'll admit it, I'm still not fully on my own. Currently live with my dad and pay some rent.

All my friends room with their gfs so I never really had the opportunity to get a place with one of them. And quite frankly I don't think I'd want to.

Reason for this post is, I've come across some very financially secure girls who are younger than me and of course they compare me to their success. I usually shrug it off and tease they're secret gold diggers in disguise, playful stuff like that and it disarms them temporarily.

But it's always a lingering matter and they tend to go for the next guy who's more successful or has more income. It used to not bother me until I realized I'll be in my 30s soon and it's hard to find a good job in my area let alone a "career"

Any words of wisdom?

I understand how difficult times are now, but it really is necessary as a man to be independent. It's hard for a woman to take you seriously if you don't have your own place, especially as you get older.

I was married to my first wife when I was your age, but had always had a roommate or lived with my parents before getting married. When I separated from my first wife it was my first taste of living completely on my own and not having to rely on anyone else to pay any bills or take care of the place. I found it to be lonely at times, but really a great growing experience and confidence builder to know that I could do it all by myself and also take care of a bunch of kids.

There's nothing at all wrong with a roommate, though, as long as you have a good one. You might even try advertising on craigslist and interviewing each one who responds.

I think it depend on your job type , in 29 you should have living on your own and have a car and some money in your bank account ,
Some girls these days are very competitive and some of them work ass off to get money , so if you are not that competitive it is easy to find girls passing you .
women are more social , and in current culture the social person (female ) will success more than the worrier (male ) . social people can get a better job a better contracts and better networking
tell me about your job and you may be need to change your career or start a business.

Right now I work at a warehouse, labor work. I have money in my bank account and can afford to pay my own bills, have my own car. I even pay rent living with my dad, I just couldn't afford living on my own at this point.

@tryst type: I think you can financially live on your own , but the problem you didnt try that before so it is psychological barrier .
I live first time on my own when I was 24 and it wasn't that bad even thought I didn't clean a dish or cook before , since these in our traditions done by women
but I learned all that , for sure it is not like living in house , but I think it is the beginning.
I personally dont think girls reject some one just because he is not living on his own , I think if you tell them you live in a house in "your place" is better than telling them you live on your own in an apartment in some trashy corner in downtown .
so in both ways you are in a lose situation , unless you can afford to live in some good place and have a home ,
so dont leave your house , instead try to learn some career and dont spend your life working in general labor work . living in house will give you an option to open home based business and that what I missed when I was living in apartment since it is small and not mine to modify it .
so your goal should be how to get richer not just how to live on your own .

The comments here are the way I feel,no intention to be cruel,but you have to be on your own to score the best Ladies.....But,but,but if you have a saving agenda,may I suggest you look at Cougars,Women in their late thirties early fourties....
Many are excellent value,avoid single Mummies,till you are more Street wise!...
Surprising as it may seem the best are career Women who have missed the Motherhood boat,find one for whom cars mean a lot and despairing of finding a Man with one,buys a nice Car to drive herself! Preferably a Sports Model....For a girl like that,you do her a kindness to let her drive you around....Be a poor Girls Toy boy,if you dance and have Social skills all the better....You may be sure,such a Girl has her own Home...Do it,she will be grateful,wheres the harm?

Funny you say that. I've found women in their mid to late 30s who are independent, have careers, been through hell with "successful" guys and/or divorced, tend to not care at all about my living situation as they are already self sufficient and care more about someone who gives them the good feelings they're missing.

It's the younger ones who let their ego judge guys and hold themselves with such high esteem I've noticed.

say couldn't you just say if that comment arrive you live with your dad because you then can help him, and don't feel like letting him live alone? or because he is your family and you want to help him?

I can understand some of you say you should have your own place, but where I live its normal you live with parents till you marry or find a job on another city and or some top grade college. also we can find pretty easy really a motel and or hotel for one night only or just a hour or 2(most motels really work only with 2 -3 hours here just for a hot night).
