"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

When I was in school no one had internet, cellphones, facebook and text messages did not exist. You had to call a chic's house her mom or dad usually answered and you had to explain to them who you were and why you were calling their daughter.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Yes... It's even worse when you don't have all those things during these times... Cant connect with everyone who are socializing with themselves through the palm of their hands... Its just a new generation, I guess I kind of belong to your "school" days... I just can't game as a caveman :(

Yeah, that's why the "game" didn't really exist back then.

yeah but you had less rivals trying to game her, it's much harder to game a girl when she has 10 orbiters around who keep telling her how beautiful and great she is

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Amen. I don't think there was game back then. You liked a chick, and had to "game" her parents (for lack of a better word). Then when they accepted you you built rapport with the chick and that's that. The chick didn't have lots of guys trying their luck and orbiters. And the DJ's back then didn't game lots of chicks. So they weren't "players" (again for lack of a better word).

I stand, there wasn't "game" back then.

There were alot of orbiters and ****blockers. In my school the ****blockers would do anything to screw up your chances with a girl.

There was game then. It was just a different way of sociaiizing with chics.

Cool, everyone has the right to their own opinion. Although, I don't think this thread serves any constructive use, and thus renders the value null. Why are you in a HS forum bashing on how difficult it was? We live in the now. Go clubbing and leave us teens.

Lol :)

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I'm almost 21 so I basically grew up right when cell phones became popular among teens and I agree with the older people. Cell phones and the Internet have made gaming women MUCH EASIER.

Younger kids, I'm not much older than you so think about it like this: imagine if the girl you're currently going after didn't have a cell phone or Facebook or Internet access. How would you game her? You either have to call her house phone (which nobody does now, people rarely even call girls they just text them) and talk to her parents first before her, OR you have to game her in person and you have to VERY GOOD to leave a lasting impression since she won't see or talk to you until the next day at school.

From that perspective, I think it was much harder to leave an impression on a girl because if the guy wasn't interesting enough, she'd forget him 10 minutes later. However, girls (especially high school girls) are being bombarded with text messages 24/7 by guys (most of whom are trying to game her), I knew how it was in high school trying to game a chick and theres 5 different guys also texting her. So from that standpoint you still have to be good to get a girl today.

Regardless, the means of gaming chicks changes (house phone, internet, cell phones) but the game never actually changes.
