Recently I've been told by people that I don't look my age.. I'm short, skinny and have minimal facial hair. I bought cigarette paper the other day and the guy at the counter seriously thought I was using a fake ID.. pretty stupid. it wasn't a problem in HS but I'm going to college soon and I don't want to be seen as a kid.. I'm sure that eventually I'll look more my age but I'm wondering if anyone else feels/has felt this way?

what can you do?

draw in a moustache and move on with your life

smh @ people making topics about anything

if you really really really really really think looks, let alone a beard in particular matter at all, just shave where you want one to come in every day and BOOM your good genes that blessed you with a clean face will go away and you will be that much closer to being that much further from your best self

Cut your hair thats how I got the grown look. Just change your physical appearance in a positive way and you will go far. But even when I did look 16 I still managed to get women, its honestly all in your head, but if you change yourself you'll just get that reassurance,"Oh yes, I look older."

how tall are u and how much do you weigh?

Well... you are the minimum age of 18 to be able to buy cigarettes so why should it be a surprise they ask you for id? I am pretty sure most College Freshman get carded for cigs unless they look like greg oden.

Don't worry about it. When you're in your 30's and 40's you'll be glad you look younger.

And stop smoking. Talk about something that will hurt your growth and development...

It can be sorta tough... i look about my age (maybe slightly younger) but i'm only 5'8" and weigh 140 lbs soaking wet! Hard to dance when most of the girls are as tall as you w/ heels and every guy outweighs you by 30+ lbs... but in the end you're game will just be better because of it.

I'm 6'3" 185 and I get anywhere from 17-22, even though I've been out of college for 2 years. People at work thought I was in high school when I first started, what the hell. A lot of people will think I am my brother, who's the same height but about 5 years younger. I think it just depends on the person judging you. I could see it making it easier to get younger girls, if you're into that demographic. How often have you tried to tell yourself a girl is 18, even though she looks 15? Anyone? Just me? Kidding...haha.

P.S. Last night some girls I knew tried to get in a bar with their fakes and were unsuccessful. They asked me if mine worked and I was like "I sure hope so, I'm 25 years old." Good stuff.

Yeah I mean I got carded when I bought smokes (I quit by the way) and I haven't been carded for other things. Like I bought malt liquor when I was 17 and I didn't get carded for that.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
