I think you needed to take some more time with her. From the narrative it sounded like you were ignoring her objections where you would have been better served if you had just slowed down and made her more comfortable vs. rushing to s3x before any more objections could come out. When she was saying she hasn't gotten any in a number of years that is a huge note to tell you that she wants to do it but needs to be made comfortable more slowly then other girls, by backing off when she seems like she needs you to.

Somehow I missed your actual repair and just read it now. Perfectly executed. Smoke and mirrors is right.
