"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Argh! I hate missed opportunities.

Walking down the street to a bookstore to do some work last night.. Just about to turn the corner when all of a sudden two HBs (i'd say 7.5-8.5) walk out right in front of me. Now i'm not sure if there were drunk or just happy, but looked like they were ready to party.

I smile and look at them, and they both smile and one of them winks at me and the following interaction occurs:

HB: you have a GREAT night <flirty>
me: <laugh> you too
HB: Oh, we will.
me: <laugh>

this all happens SO fast. We keep walking in the opposite directions. Now i just know that i could have said something along the lines of "wow, you guys look like you're having fun, i should be hanging out with you"

definitely feels like a missed opportunity. I just hate it when my mindstate is not there at all and **** like this happens.

Oh well, you live, you learn. Gotta maintain awareness, people.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

well, getting women is NOT my top priority. Don't get me wrong, i LOVE women, its just that i believe that my general life, business, success, etc are all more important in general.

So I don't think i'll ever mentally pump myself to look for *****-getting opportunities 24/7..

However, being ready and aware is a goal, i think. I'm usually pretty good with spur of the moment stuff, but there are definitely more opportunities ripe for taking out there. It's just funny that they always come at the wrong time.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

why do you care that two random chicks smiled and said something to you. So what if you did not approach them. They were probably in a flirty mood and just felt like toying around with some guy. Dont take every advance so seriously....

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

blow it off and move on is the best advice here .... we're only human and make mistakes every now and then, dont beat yourself up over it ... just remember to always be mentally prepared for these situations

ahaha, I was at a ATM and there was this girl with a miniskirt on (7), she had a amplifier beside her, carrying it somewhere with her other chick friend (<7). I noticed the repeated looking from 7, but it never came to mind that I shoulda asked if she needed help carrying the amp somewhere.

heh, you just never know where things happen. I woulda liked her too >.<

Oh dear god. How can you claim that you would have definately liked someone based solely on their appearance. She could have been a complete ***** for all you know.

The point of all this is, there are a LOT of opportunities out there. We all miss them occassionally, but that's life. And anyway, the opportunities that you DO take hold of are usually the ones which bear fruit.

I find it helps to be on the look out no matter where you are. Hell, I went to a tuition program at my school this week just past, with the intention on picking up at the back of my mind.

I ended up with the number of a great girl. And this was in an unlikely situation. But, because I'm always prepared to pick up, no matter where I go, I don't miss many of these opportunities.

Have it at the back of your mind, and you'll notice the difference.

I have missed opportunities all the time. Even though I've been through this process for a long time, and supposedly know what to do, I still get brain jammed. I just try to remember those instances, figure out what to do next time, and look for similiar opportunities. It also helps to keep your emotions in check. Another thing too, the more you increase your awareness, the more you'll see opportunities. Which, ironically can get you down because you see an opportunity you've missed. So guys, don't worry about it. Be glad you're able to see the opportunities that most people can't (let alone take advantage), and most people are lucky. We just happen to be unlucky ones who were not aware enough, and were forced to learn to be. Sometimes, we can be too much aware. But that's a whole another topic. Think about this. Those people who seem to have it all, in reality, never have what they really want. And if you look hard enough, most people are miserable.
