"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I found in emails it is best to discuss things that are personal to the girl. I had a nice long conversation about a girl I like's boyfriend. Sounds odd but it works to bring you closer. Also the best things to do with when talking to a girl though email is to firgure out the times she is online, since people usually get online at the same time every day, or close to it. Get on at that time, email her and wait for her response, IM is better but this works, then email her again, you can stay on for hours just emailing her back and forth. I can not help you with what to put in the email, but I always start it off with a question. If you know the girl ok and you want to know if she has a BF, and you know one of her ex BF's names then just ask her if she has a BF. She will usually tell you, the truth the most of the time, and then ask you why you asked. if you do not want to tell her the truth, then say something like oh, one of your ex's wanted me to ask you. Then she might ask you who it was, and you are prepared, but to make you closer with this girl you might try playing a quessing game, just little things to make her more attracted to you.

I usually don´t support the idea of being ****y and funny.

Getting (only) the email should only be last ressort after nothing else is working. At least try to get her phone number and call her.

Send her your telephone number and cell phone number with the text "Here are my numbers, call me or send me a SMS that I have your number, I would like to talk to you."

I take it you got this email idea from David DeAngelo? Well, if so then follow up on what he said: just email her, normally, and ask her to meet you someplace for a cup of tea and stimulating conversation. As he would say. ;)

Or as the above poster said... get her number.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
