The US obviously has our own gun problems, but lone gunmen here have to carefully pick their targets, usually crowds of people where no one will shoot back. Where I live, guns are everywhere, but a lot of them are carried by citizens with concealed carry permits. A lone gumnan rampaging down the street in my neighborhood is not going to live long enough for the police to come and save him.
