Xbox 360 and this connects?

I want surround sound while i play my 360 but im not sure if it's compatible im not a wiz at these stuff..
and i only could afford this because im on a tight budget.. its on sale for 210$

That thing will work with your TV.. Your XBOX is like a VCR, it shows and plays things on TV.. Thus yes, it will work..


Can you do car stereos? If yes you can build a kick a55 1500 watt system yourself for about half that money. Four speakers, sub-woofers, amps.. Boxes and lacquer. Would fit much better into your place..

you know, those old boxes with 5 disk CD changer, two cassette players, and radio.. That will do just fine.

All you doing is taking TV's sound output and routing it to something else, such as stereo.. You have a stereo, right? You can use that..


On TV you'd go to setup and configure for monitor or speakers off.. Then you set your stereo to AUX or similar source, set stereo's sound to MAX and use your TV's remote control for controlling sound.. Or vice versa, set TV's volume to fixed, and use stereo to control volume..


You can also hook up your stereo to your computer.. Or your computer speakers to your TV..

thats the back of the DVD Player or whatever it is that comes with the speakers...

im not good at this stuff at all..
im only used to my PS2 connecting to the TV with those 3 colored plugs..
But this is a whole other thing.. help guys? How to do the wiring!

TV/VIDEO on the far right. You'd hook them up to your TV's (MONITOR) left and right channels.. You know those cables that connect your VCR/DVD player to TV? 3 wires, audio left and right and video. You can use a wire like that.. Connect left to left, and right to right..


Now.. You will need to go to TV setup, via TV's menu.. Consult your manual or figure it out.. Or post pictures.. So that you can configure sound for MONITOR only..

I think as long as the stereo is Dolby Digital compatible you can get surround sound. I have an old PS hooked up to an old Aiwa system I bought in the mid 80's. It still sounds great.

Post us pictures of connections on XBOX.. I have original XBOX, not 360. That one just supports stereo.. But I still get surround through synthesizers in my stereo.

Well, with setup I described above you will get stereo, or synthesizer surround. Good, but not best.

That splitter cable in the picture for connecting XBOX and sound system, that will give you true surround channel, and the best sound experience.

Oh I'm sorry guys.. I was wondering could they connect, I don't have an xbox360 YET, im thinking of getting one from ebay, the Premium.. it's got 20GB, Should i get it from ebay? Any suggestions? because its like 100bucks cheaper than retail!

If you want the extra HD look at finding a 360 Elite. It has the HD plus a few extras for the cost of what you'd pay for the HD alone.
