You do know the Taliban follow a strict form of Islam right? Part of that is not allowing women an education, and eradication of other religions. Hence why they destroyed those massive ancient buddha statues.

Between the killings, the beatings, the walking up in your home because you own a TV to burn your house down and shooting your daughters in the face because they went to school and then bombing the school, are all valid reasons that they have sought assylm and are going to other countries to be refugees. It is an ideological virus. ISIS wage war first of all against islam, which they think is corrupt. In other words ISIS was created by a group of people who want muslims self destroy - JEWS, AMERICA, BRITISH, make your pick.

2. Whether one claims it is part of the religious beliefs of islam or not, it does nothing to change the fact that a large portion of islamic believers ARE carrying out these terrorist acts in the name of their religion.

It's not a large part doing the terror. The silence from the large part of the Islamic faithful, whether from fear or complicity, is troubling.

I don't understand why people keep saying "Extremist" musilms are using religon as an excuse to condone their barbaric acts. It gives me the impression that they do not understand Islam, or at the very least cracked open a Quran.

If anything, "extremist" violent musilms are the true musilms as they are strictly following Islamic doctrines. If you do not understand this take some time to read the Quran, not even the whole thing, just read it halfway. In the beginning its fine but then as you get further you'll begin to be appauled by what musilms read from doctrine that is meant to be read literally.

I agree with what another poster said here, is Ideological warfare. If the bible said "kill all jews" and a few christians acted out on the teachings. Would it be unfair to call other christians who read & believe the same exact doctrines anti-semites, just because they hadn't acted out on it?
