"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Write about your most awesome/exciting/memorable dates here.

As thread starter, I am obligated to go first, but my dates havn't gone well. . . .yet. Hopefully they will go well with the info and inspiration from the responces here.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

hahahaha...

is it telling that this hasn't got a single response yet? perhaps many of us are in the same miserable boat desperately trying to bail water so it doesn't sink....

good luck getting good examples though. it would be an interesting read.

I hate to say it, but i've only had one date of pure substance, something where I actually felt pretty fvcking amazing. The rest have just been..well..average.

Was on my working holiday down in Picton (Top of South Island, New Zealand). From a previous visit I had met this chick, daughter of the Boat shop owner on the waterfront. Through my god-parents (People I was staying with) I got hooked up with a wicked job there.

Anyway, long story short, I talked to her Dad while we were having a beer and waiting for a boat-hire customer to bring the boat back, and he bought up the idea of taking out one of the speedboats and taking her for a drive. So I did, around 7pm as the light faded, grabbed a picnic basket from the Supermarket I was doing part-time at for extra $ (Working 60 hours a week wasn't as easy as I planned ), and her Dad, being the wicked man he is, shoved a 6 pack of coronas and a bottle of bubbly in my hands as I was heading to the boat.

Took her to a remote beach that I remembered (from taking this family out to their batch, we also ran a water taxi service). Beach was completely deserted, sun shining over the horizon, laying down on a rug with a glass of bubbly and a brew, it was pretty cool.

While we both knew I was going to go back up to Hamilton after my holiday had finished, it was nice to just have a date where there was no pressure, and just to enjoy it. Looking back, the date seemed bloody corny, but, more importantly, it was fun.

From one of my FRs:

"Me and beautiful German chick are standing there, looking at a gorgeous French monument from my balcony, lit by the setting sun. She's wearing shorts and a black top that reveals some very nice curves. Her blonde hair is waving in the wind. Up to that moment, it had been the pimpest afternoon of my entire life. I have never done a date that was so much fun, ending in my apartment with a hot chick. But I was about to go out with a fvcking whimper.

One week after date 1, I call German chick. We set up a date to go night biking in Paris, yes the city of love. First of all, there's nowhere to store the bikes for the night except at my place. She's the one who suggests that we're going to have to leave her bike there for the night (since we had to return it the next morning). Unfortunately, I made no cracks on her forwardness, maybe I should have. We leave. On a bike in Paris is indescribable. I cannot describe to you the joy of seeing paris with the wind running through our hair, dodging insane traffic, and looking across the seine at the Eiffel tower. My plan is to isolate, so we go into a nearby forest and bike around there for a while. This is the first easy opportunity I miss. I make no move.

So then, she's getting "tired" so we leave to go to lock up our bikes in my apartment. At this point, I was going to invite her up but she miraculously has to pee. On the way back she asks where we're going every 5 seconds, and is seriously pissing me off. At this point I finally bust on her and tell her my bathrooms aren't free. I guess that wasn't very gentlemanly. I thought it was funny though. I rather enjoyed closing the door in her face.

So we're sitting there awkwardly on my balcony. Then we head into my room and she's sitting on my chair. At this moment, I hate myself. I knew at that very moment that I was going to chicken out, again, and that all this effort to pick up this chick would leave me with a great date but nothing to show for it. She seems to sense that I'm not prepared to make a move on her. She seems confused and slightly angry. She makes plans with a friend and leaves. I want desperately to stop her.

She invites me to go out with her friend. I say no, then out of frustration, I say yes. I go with her halfway, then I turn around and leave. She left town the next day and I'll never see her again.

As I was walking away, I wanted to cry. Some part of me was so angry that I hadn't acted. What am I doing?"

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
