For some reason this week has been the greatest week ever cause I started focusing on the good things in life. As I am typing I feel so much energy that I want to go out and just live life and be good at what I want to do. Like school,girls,sports, etc. and be good at it and master it.
What is the point of doing something and not be good at it? said one of my marching instuctors.
Today in practice I felt so much enrgey and passion from everyone after our instructors have to yell at us and gave so many inspirational speeches today and we had the best practice ever and It doesnt envolve just marching band, but life. Dont get me wrong as being a band nerd but I felt so much energey and passion today.
My instructors always say things like "Be good at anything you do not just marching band but everything from sports to school to life. We have work so hard on this feild blood,sweat,tears and just to give it all up now and as each time you guys meet the highshest point you can go we will keep raising the bar. We dont need to drag you guys up but you guys must raise the bar. Dont go through the motions of it."
I have so many speeches I have heard from my instuctors this season and today they just drilled us and when we were hudled together today and they said ok were going to play like this from the hudel and we want it to be the best thing we ever heardd so you guys can make us cry and I want you guys to hear what everyone is doing and hopefully appreciate it because they are working just as hard as you. And we started to play by the end it almost made our instructor cried and when we steped on the field to do our pracitce show they said take what you have learned and felt and have pasion for this song and not just play but have passion like when we were hudled together and apply it on the field. So we did and for the first time ever I have never felt the way I did and so as the rest of the band because everyone busted their ass and each and every induvidual person had passion for what they are doing, even the slackers and there are some really bad slackers.
Before the runthrough of the show one of the instuctors set us aside from the other instructors and gave us a speech. He said "Do you know the history of this band? Well we usto be one of the greatest. We usto beat the crap out off Logans ass( a marching band that is very very good)
Thats why we have the reputation that we have and each trophy on the wall of the band room ( the whole room the band room is just covered in so many trophis)
has been earned with blood,sweat,tears and hardwork.
Do you know who your biggest fans are?
We are your biggest fans. ( the instuctors) We just love you guys. Each and every instuctor and we are your biggest fans biggest we belive in you guys and I will rip up my pay check for you guys if you will just keep raising the bar.
We did not go through the moition this time but we raised the bar.
I live with two of the instructors, A and B (dont want to use there real names)
A, I knew who he was 3 years before I met him until this season. I knew who he was because he had and builted a reputation. He was what you call a badass because of his work ethics. B, is one of the greatest tuba players i have ever heard and meet. I have not live with anyone else other than my family and them. Thats how much of a cool person they are. And D she was in 4 shows that me cried because of their passion. E is one of the greatest bass player I have heard and he was my section leader when I was in SCVG. We have come from the best organization in the world and we are your biggest fans. We just love you guys and we would think of new ways to make you guys better. So remember who your fans and adience are.

I had to get this of my chest and say how great I fill and now when i am down or when the band is down I know how to reach that point of "nirvanna". As what i like to call it now. Because I know how to get to that stage.
