Last time the international bankers decided to get money out of a nation, some really "bad guy" took the power in that nation and led to very unpleasable things for the world (not for the bankers of course).

What happened after is almost 24/7 on history channel with remastered color.

Good!

Iceland now needs to have it's own currency based on gold standard with minimum inflation,.

Prior to the emplacement of the FED in United States, the United States had no inflation and 10 percent yearly growth. Right after international bankers put the FED into place great depression started. Rockefeller started the panic which led to depression.

Dept is money for them, and they aren't really after money, they are after power. Thus debt is the means to control your ass. Tell your country what to do, when to go to war, who to elect.

Presently United States is giving a blow job to the international banking cartel, while massaging testicles which are the republicrats and democons. They going to crash the dollar soon, and go after new global currency, with the use of new technologies - possibly micro chips.

Way to go Iceland!

Good post, Drdee. The greed of the big banks caused our whole economic recession/depression. It's amazing how the world revolves around the printing presses of fiat currency and it's fakeness. Fractional reserve banking, what a scam. Inflation is probably the biggest scam. It's a created tax, to take wealth from the people to the big banks.

It's great to see at least one country tell the banks to piss off. We need more countries to follow. The banks need to start being accountable for their crimes. The whole world is watching, Iceland.

The difference being that this was not the decision of international bankers. They were essentially kicked out of the country. Iceland, to put it mildly, does not fukk around. They really do not give a sh-t about status or status quo. Hell, they just indicted their former prime minister for his role in the economic collapse: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/09/28/geir-haarde-indicted-iceland-financial-crisis_n_742800.html

Let's see America follow suit and indict Bush for hiring an entire cabinet of lobbyists who pushed us towards war and corrupt financial practices which have driven the global economy into the ground. I'm not holding my breath for that one though.

Sad thing is, you are wrong about the role of international bankers. Wherever they are shunned, freedom usually prevails. A lot of people forget with all these fireworks that in 1776 America declared independence not only from England, but from the British banking system and the Banking Act of 1775. As a direct result we enjoyed growth and prosperity that built an empire in record time.

But like all movements which get too big for their britches, we've forgotten what is important. Obsessed with the pursuit of wealth and power - it is now MONEY which decides most laws and policies. We the people are here strictly to finance these decisions. We really don't mean jack sh-t anymore and they don't care if they bleed us dry.

All of this was foretold centuries ago:

Thomas Jefferson said:
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered...I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

Man, homerun post. Also, back then, folks cared more about freedom than anything. They didn't have all these tech gadgets, chasing the carrot, going into debt purchasing things. Buffers, focusing our attention away from what really matters.

Debt is slavery, pure and simple, and this is what the banks peddle so they can control and remain in power.

They will bleed us dry as long as we let them, and we are...collectively, we are letting them.

The best thing any man can do, is stay out of debt. If you want something, work hard for it and bypass the banks and their addictive drug financing.

We need to step back and re-learn what really matters, what our forefathers would have wanted for us. We can shun the banks and regain our freedom, if that is what we want. But is it? Maybe comforts and laziness is what folks want?

I want to move to Iceland now. I hear the women are beautiful there too. :)
