Sometimes, the idea of raising a child sounds appealing to me. I know it is a lot of work and a lot of money, but it seems to be a very fulfilling endeavor. It's something I could see myself doing at some point down the line. Like marriage, it's not for everyone, but I can see why people would find it to be rewarding.

Relationships these days have a billion and one complications. I'm just not convinced at this point that I can realistically find a woman who I would want to spend the rest of my life with. The divorce rate is over 50%, and a very large number of people who remain married are not truly happy with their relationships.

Most folks seem to think that being married is a prerequisite to raising a kid or two. What do you guys think about ditching this notion and raising one on your own?

Interesting fact: children raised by single mothers, even when adjusted for race, socioeconomic status etc. are on the whole, less well-adjusted in life compared to children raised in 2 parent households (including gay 2 parent households). However, children raised by single fathers turned out just fine.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

I would consider it - in the early 90's I was a child services worker for kids in foster care. There were a few kids that were just a lot of fun to have around, athletic, well behaved, did good in school, etc. Had it together in spite of horrible parents. They were too old to ever be considered for adoption and were going to "age out" of the system - like they were 12 to 15 years old. Everyone wants to adopt a baby, those older kids are overlooked.

Long story short is if you're interested in adoption maybe become a foster parent or child advocate and get to know the kids in the system. I have seen foster parents grow attached to and adopt some great kids. Or maybe join big brothers/big sisters.....

I could see a single man adopting an older child but not necessarily a baby...

There is nothing wrong with being a foster parent. Plenty of people have found great parents that way.

There is more stress involved as a single parent however. Studies show that. If you are the person who lives for a child because you love them then I say go for it however. There is absolutely nothing in the world like raising children.

I never heard that stat about the single fathers... where did you get it?
Most single fathers that I know, myself included, really WANT their children. It is much easier for a father to say "fvck it" and pawn a child off on the mother or family members. Some single mothers feel like they are stuck with their children.

WANT is more important than gender.

I honestly wouldn't.
Whether it's because I'm selfish or because I don't think I could handle a responsibility that big on my own without really knowing what I'm doing... I'm not sure. But, I wouldn't.

Not only is that a form of cuckoldery after the fact, but you wouldn't even be getting the pleasure of tapping the mother.

You need to find good maiden that wants to start a family. I suggest countries other than the USA.

I'd do it, but only if I could get my Jango Fett on. Raise a clone of myself, yah that would be worth it. Otherwise, not a chance.
