"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

When it comes to college, im a lazy procrastinator. Im just not motivated for it. I just don't like college, i don't like studying.

Since I live in a city where rent is cheap I wouldn't have any problems living on my own, I could do that with just 1 job. The only problem is my mother. She has worked hard all her life and her dream is for me to go to college and then transfer to university. If I quit college it would break her heart literally, and I don't want to do that she has a heart of gold. She would never recover. I would be the shame of the family and she would never forgive me (and im serious when I say this).

Now don't think im proud of myself. I know im to blame for all this, I have let myself become lazy in school and get to the point where I don't care about college. I just go to make my mom happy. I pass my classes but the thing is I pass my classes not even giving 50%. I pass my classes not giving full effort and it shows that im naturally smart. I know im smarter than most in my classes. I pass my classes and I rarely study. I know that working in an average job is nothing to be proud of and this is what my mom tells me. She doesn't want me working all my life with nosy, disgusting people in a tiring job. Working in such jobs leads to a lot of pain and failure over the years and she doesn't want me experiencing the bad side of work. Shes says why would I work in an average job when I can go to college and get a good job and work with educated people and get great pay.

I see that im an ungrateful idiot for even having the opportunity of being in college, something she didnt. Yet here I am not giving my full effort. It makes me feel bad yet I can't change, I just don't like studying and I hate school

What would you do in my situation?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Be successful in whatever it is you do. Im sure if you forego the rest of college but make it in whatever else you plan to do, your mom wouldnt be too pissed.

This is nothing against you, Joe, but as a teacher, it really pisses me off to see that attitude. People today are lazy and when work is required of them, they find the easy way out.

Your stuck because your mother busted her ass to get you somewhere in life. You owe her big time. I don't think this means that you have to slave away at something you hate. On the contrary, I don't think that is what your mother wanted.

It's your obligation now to do something with your life. There are alternatives to getting a Bachelors degree, you know. Find a field that is interesting and go do it. Like working with your hands? A trade school. Electricians and plumbers make bank cause they are in high demand.

Finance? Education? There is a whole world out there waiting for you to get off your butt and join.

Seriously, show your mother some respect and do something with your life.

TheDarkSaint, im only lazy when it comes to studying and school. For everything else im energetic and work hard. When it comes to college I just don't have it in me. I will still keep going and will get the degree to make my mother happy, but personally I rather work than spend my time studying. I know this attitude is wrong and I know education is everything im not one of those hippis, but I just rather work hard while young and save up a bunch of money quickly this way.

If she loves you and you have a better reason than laziness then she will understand.

Looking longterm - maybe you should put your lazy quality aside so you can "potentially" make more money in the long run.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
