ANYTHING women don't like, most especially things they simultaneously hate and that empower men, they will say is morally and etchicly wrong (or immature LOL), but that does not make it so. But count on the white knight pvssies to eat it up with a spoon and ride in to save the day!
Great point, and starting to think there are quite a few female posters here posing as men. The writing style and logic are pretty easy to out, because despite all the NAWALT out there, about 80-90% of the women really are all the same in certain attitudes at least.

How different this thread would be if 1. there were no age gap, 2. the woman in question had asked OP out directly:

"A distant female relative of mine by marriage, not blood related, keeps asking me out. She's attractive, but I always turn her down because of the family connection. I think it's funny that she keeps asking me out. Thoughts?"

"Why are you being so cruel to this woman? You are obviously a selfish, narrow-minded person to treat her this way based on something as silly as a distant family connection. You don't deserve to have a relationship with a woman and probably have a small penis to go with your big insecurities."

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Regardless of blood, this situation is, as other posters have said, as bad as or worse than dating a co-worker. Is the pool of women really so shallow where you are that you even have to consider treading these dangerous waters?

Yeah, no. That's like saying a chicken is an antelope because they both have an "e" and an "n." In fact, there is no similarity between the OP situation and work relationships. I could spell out the massive differences in crayon for the challenged, but would lose about 5 IQ points in the process.

I'm tending to agree that we may have women here posing as men. It's hard to tell because they are really good at sounding like guys in their posts but, when the rubber meets the road, their entire arguments and the ways they present them are EXACTLY the way women would and that's where the seams in their charades are showing. Like right down the checklist. I've heard these very same tactics used and the very same things that their arguments concentrate on come out of women's mouths my whole life. Literally. Manginas, in my experience, are mostly concerned with indulging the blue pill fantasy that women and modern culture has fed them.....and kissing ass thinking that will get them laid. But they are still guys and, generally, have no idea what touches a nerve with women like what a lot of these posters are on about, much less actually arguing about them. We have people posting about issues that would ONLY truly matter to feminist women. And I'm having a hard time believing that we have THIS MANY white knights here because, afterall, there are no women's asses to kiss here, ostensibly. HAS to be a bunch of chicks posting as men.

If you pay close attention you can see an underlying disdain for men, men empowering themselves against female manipulation, and male game right there in their posts. They pose as guys, sound like guys, but there seems to be this underlying understanding that male game is about taking advantage of women and screwing them over via lies, trickery, and all manner of unethical rat bastard behavior when NOTHING COULD BE FARTHER FROM THE TRUTH. Yes, there are unethical men, just as there are unethical women, but that is not what's being taught here. But they discuss that matter-of-factly because women, apparently, are unable to differentiate between male empowerment and treating women badly. To them, it's a zero sum game....For men to win, women must lose and vice versa. The zero sum game is the very crux of modern feminism (and liberalism/progressiveism for that matter) and their inability to grasp that it is academic fantasy land tripe with ZERO real world evidence to support it is causing them to subconsciously rat themselves out in their posts. Koolade drinkers gonna be koolade drinkers and these type of people are never as smart or clever as they think they are, anyway.

And if we are completely wrong and these actually are guys, that's even worse news. That woukd mean the white night situation is even worse than we thought and these guys are now, literally, thinking and arguing like women.

But I'm betting your suspiscions are correct. And it probably happens here more than we realize as it only becomes apparent when something really over the top happens. Like last year when some random "guy" started a thread asking how many DJs had decided to take alk of this to its natural conclusion and go ahead and start raping women. No one took the bait and a few, rightfully, let "him" have it before the mods, thankfully, closed the thread, but I said then and I say again now: I GUARANTEE that was written by some feminist chick to bait guys here into confirming their worst suspicions so they could take it to women's studies class as evidence that their horse**** anti-male dogma is true. Afterall, we deserve no rights or any empowerment because we are, afterall, all closet rapists.

These people are so deluded as to believe feminist tripe about "the patriarchy" and "the war on women" that they don't realize that it comes through in their posts, no matter what kind of academy award winning performances they wrap it in. Most telling are those uniquely female of traits that they, themselves, cannot even see because intellectual arrogance and feminism go hand in hand....One can, literally, see right there in their posts that every woman on the planet thinks she is superior to every man on the planet and that men are too stupid and imperceptive to smell them from a mile away.

Pretty funny, actually.

what's the worst that can happen? Awkwardness at a family event once a year? His brother in law might get upset? Oh nos, the sky has fallen! You are, literally, dreaming up non-problems

What's worse is having to see this girl at family events for the rest of his life never knowing what could have been, except she's no longer interested because she thinks he's an indecisive pvssy

Thanks Dom and personally I and most of my family dont even go to 80% of family functions anymore. We are all older at this point with too much to do. Last I heard I was a godfather or something to someone half way across the country. Besides my most direct family singing the theme song from the godfather every once in a while cant say its impacted on me at all. As well Igeit if you read back my posts I have experience in this crossroad directly. I was younger then and thought my folks knew what was best, truth be known she just wasnt 'successful' enough, how wrong I was.

Don, theres actually a fate far FAR FARRRR worse than the regret of not knowing... the kind of thing only the devil could come up with and that I was neglecting to mention (my last post was clear enough I felt). At least the 'regret of not knowing' has some charm to it compared to this!

The worse possible thing that could happen is the consequences of inaction where in the next few months with college starting up she meets someone new, she brings him to said family functions year in year out, they get married, which teddy goes to, they have kids together which also go to the family functions with all the other kids. Teddys whole life will be haunted and reminded of the consequences and seeing her with someone who may not even of been that great. Every reunion, every family photo. This is the worst beyond description. I neglected to mention it initially as I think it creates a false sense of scarcity over something that is suppose to be easy, uninterestingly common and trivial (going on dates).

Theres not much more I can add here to the obvious. But I think theres a lot of members who really need to pause over why they are filling teddy with thoughts only to stifle him when he needs all the balls he can get. What would PHM do huh? All this thinking BS is going nowhere and creating drama from thin air is the opposite to getting laid. Why are we psyching someone out? kicks? envy?

All because Igetit and a few other SS guys shake their stick without thinking.

What does the number of posts here have to do with anything? Just because you post a lot doesn't mean that you know anything. He wanted some opinions so I gave him mine. I said he should think about banging a girl in the family because it could bite him in the ass. I don't care if he f*cks her or not. That's his choice to do it or not. All I'm saying is he should be aware of the consequences when it all turns sour. For all you guys saying sh1t to me, think back to the last bad encounter you had with a woman. If you've ever had a woman. Would you want her to be a part of your family and have to deal with a bunch of family sh1t? I wouldn't, but that's just me. So, being a p*ssy now is not trying to bang a chick in your family? That's just common sense. Men that have their sh1t together can pass on the girls they don't want. They don't have to be desperate enough to draw water from the family well. Obviously none of you guys can do that. You have no idea what reaction the family might have and what the girl will do if the sh1t hits the fan. If you ever had a relationship that went bad you would think twice about it and involving family. Go ahead and bang her, but you've been warned.

Only the older guys are making this out to be if you don't f*ck her you are a p*ssy. And the guys with no options at the moment. They probably feel that they wasted many years by not approaching women and getting laid so they try to apply this idea to every single girl that if you're not banging her that you are a p*ssy. When it comes to family or trouble situations then you think clearly and don't act on it. A lot of guys that wound up in trouble wished they had passed it up when they had the chance. What's the point in giving someone logical advice to think about when you have older posters throwing out weak and flaming insults? They turn this into a regret or not knowing situation. If you have options like you should have then you wouldn't regret banging some girl within the family.

Yesh but not a family member in law

You aren't just pointing out possible pitfalls the OP may encounter. You are projecting your own situation and sensibility on him and attempting to reinforce it with SHAMING TACTICS. That's what WOMEN do and that's why you're being called out for posting like a mangina.

What's with your lame insults? Nobody else can have a different opinion on the matter? Aren't you projecting your own situation and sensibility on him and attempting to reinforce it with shaming tactics by calling me lame names? with women you don't know what to expect and with a woman in the family you are pursuing can make things worse. I said he can bang her if he wants to, but be aware of what can go wrong. he asked for opinions so I gave him mine. Then you start in with your lame insults. Talking about having your sh1t together so you can get the women of your choice is shaming? Isn't that the purpose of what a DJ is supposed to be? Men with limitations are supposed to get better. And that's shaming? You're just posting on your own insecurities and regrets and taking it out on men who don't see it your way.

Don_Dom said:
If I weren't on my handheld I would bold the relevant lines in your post, but suffice it to say that it's full of statements intended to undermine and demean his confidence should he decide to pursue this. And that's ridiculous because there is nothing, at all, wrong with two adults getting together.
Never said there was but when it's in the family you should be aware of what can go wrong. but you don't seem to think about things like that. this has nothing to do about confidence, it has to do with starting trouble in the family and for himself. If he wants to build up some confidence, then why doesn't he go out and approach women to gain confidence?

Don_Dom said:
He's abundantly aware of the possible downsides. He doesn't need to be told that he doesn't "have his **** together" or any other of your female shaming BS because he happens to decide to go a direction that you wouldn't.
He asked us if it was weird so no he is not abundantly aware of the possible downsides. I was telling him what could go wrong since he's trying to get it on with a girl in the family. Every DJ I know preaches that you should have your sh1t together or otherwise you will be SOL with getting any decent women Do you not know anything about being a DJ? You say that's shaming? you have a skewed view of what being a DJ is all about.

Don_Dom said:
your female shaming BS
The only person that would be shamed would be a guy that doesn't have his life in order. In order to be even considered to be a DJ you need to have your sh1t together. That's not shaming that's the main DJ principle that everybody should follow. Not quite sure why you think that's shaming.

Reputation >>> Pu$$y. If your reputation with your family will be harmed even a little bit by dating this girl...don't do it! Risking your reputation just to score is a sign of desperation, pedestalization, and a lack of abundance mentality.
Exactly, and I'm not sure why the other older posters and the others don't see it the same way. It's not even about reputation, it's about common sense. Just because you pass up on a chick, that doesn't make you a p*ssy or magina. It shows that you have options and don't have to draw water from the family well just to say you got a bang. Isn't that what a DJ is supposed to be? Having options and not having to settle for just any chick, especially in the family?

In conclusion, yes, of course it's weird. Any time you have to defend your relationship with a woman by saying "technically we're not even related" then yes it's weird.

Dude,look...

This guy made this thread asking for opinions. He asked if it'd be weird to date his sister's husband's niece. He got several different opinions on the matter, some here are cool with it,some aren't.

Me....I'm NOT.

To me,the fact that he even made the thread in the first place shows he had some hesitation about it. I just had a date with a chick 3 days ago,I just asked her out,and we went out.....I didn't come here and make a thread asking people what they thought,I just went for it.

Well this guy.....He PAUSED.......he came here and asked us what WE THOUGHT before deciding on a path to take. Well that "pause",to me that means he had reservations HIMSELF about trying to date the chick........because of the FAMILY DYNAMIC.

He asked for opinions. He got'em. Some were yes, some were no.

He can go do whatever he wants. He asked for opinions, didn't he? Well that's what he got.

What.....you saying people here can only express their opinions if they happen to agree with yours?

Igetit, no one is saying that at all. He posted this because he is new and he's been posting about every possible thing lately, in case you haven't been paying attention. You are correct, he had reservations. But he is also interested. And from the sound of it, so is she.

And you know what? That's perfectly fine. Of course there will be some weirdness. But that doesn't make pursuing it wrong. He's an adult. She's an adult. They arent breaking any laws of man or nature and it won't jeapardize either's livelyhood. It's nobody's business what they do and that isn't changed by the fact that people may take it upon themselves to make it their business or that it might be a ramped up a bit because family is involved. I say again, it's not their fault someone else in their families got married before they met. If I were in a similar situation and anyone in my family had anything to say about it I would promptly tell them to go fvck themselves, personally. This isn't a coworker. This isn't a friend's ex. Neither of them are cheating. No rules are being broken. And if it does go south, they can handle it like adults like anyone else in any number of other situations would have to. It's just barely skirting on a taboo. Barely. That's it.

There will ALWAYS be weirdness if ANYONE you pursue knows anyone else you know. Try living in a small town sometime. If you let this kind of crap hold you back you will never pursue ANYONE. There is NEVER the perfect scenario and there are always endless excuses to not take action. And that is one of the few truly great tragedies that can befall a person. Regret for inaction far exceeds that of action. In fact, when most people look back at their regrets, its all the things they didn't do. Aside from felons, most people never regret things they actusly did. There's a reason for that.

The points have been made, pro and con. Only teddy knows what the potential for problems may be in his particular family. He's aware it could be sticky, he can decide if hes prepared to deal with that or if its worth it.

The problem is when we get posts like this:

It has nothing to do with post count. It has everything to do with posting like a pvssy.

Sorry if you feel you are being unfairly jumped on, but this kind of thing has been rampant here lately, since new years in particular, and it has to stop. Disagreeing is fine. Shaming like a b1tch is not.

Us posters don't know the type of relationship dynamics in his family. Like I said, some families would be okay with this kind of thing, some absolutely forbid it and see it as taboo.

If the OP thinks his family is fine with it, then go ahead. If not, just keep your thing in your pants. Part of being a man is self restraint and control. Temptation comes our way everyday, it's how we respond to it that matters.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

Would it be "weird" if you met this girl BEFORE they got married? Hell no.

The first part was just my opinion and the relationship dynamics in my family. Like I said, some families would be okay with it, some won't. All fingers are not equal and all families aren't. If his are fine with it, by all means, he should go ahead.

Quite frankly, he shouldn't even be seeking our counsel. He should be seeking the counsel of his family.

Dude, you're 25. It's not like you can't go out and meet other chicks. I can't believe it took 3 pages for you guys to figure that one out.
