Worst 'wingman' ever?

I was talking to my friend, he says this chick likes me, which I know she does, but then he starts pushing me really hard to get it with her. He starts saying stuff like "if you don't go up and talk to her, then Imma tell her that you like her" which forces me to go up. The thing is, I can't be forced to go up to talk to people unless I force myself to do it. I end up thinking about some other random sh!t while talking to her and draw a blank in our convo. Plus, my body language wasn't good.

He gets her number and starts saying how I like her. I'm like 'yo, don't go saying that cuz that is like the worst thing a wingman could do' so he tells her I'm all pissed off that he told her a million times.

Now I get the feeling that he is trying to get me out of the game with her though which makes me feel kinda iffy about him.
Oh and I forgot, she does have a bf, but she never mentioned him so she thinks idk. Which can be either a plus or negative.

Idc too much to be quite honest cuz whenever I talk to her for myself, I put on a good image. But, now my friend is making me sound like so much more of a wuss than I am.

I would probably get her number if you didn't, but I would never mention you or your interest. I would also immediately delete it in front of you.

That wingman either sucks or has alterior motives... I'm guessing you have asked her out because of the boyfriend thing?

This is the common characteristic of some people. Lot of people are quite sneaky about such stuff, at least you know where you stand with this character.

No, 'wingman' told me and it does make sense because I know him (he was the biggest @sshole in the world to me and my brother several years ago, but then I got totally shredded and my brother got bigger while he just got taller and skinnier).

I would like to ask this though:

What would you guys personally do? My gut is telling me wait till the summer when I am free to do anything I want. But since my friend pushed me too much, it might not be possible to put her on hold any more.

Keep in mind that I see her everyday because we are in the same class (we're in high school).
