"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Hi all.

Ok, I am really interested in this one cashier cutie at my work (I work in a grocery store), but I don't know how to get her attention. I changed my hairstyle recently and drastically, even my friends were surprised, and since then it seems to me as if she's been noticing me more. Right after I got it cut like this I went to work, and the look she gave me just made me feel so good all over. It felt as if she was checking me out, and after that she talked to me a few times too. Another one of my work buddies knows (as well as my best friend who also works with us) that I really like her and he's always teasing me about it, which I don't actually mind. My question is this...how should I try to get her to talk to me more?? My best friend is also throwing a party this saturday and I told him to invite her. How should I approach this 'pick-up'???

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Ask her to hang out with you - one on one - on casual terms, test the waters first.

I was going after one of the bakery girls :D
Never trust bakery chicks, they're squirrely. Or 40 and married (and fat).

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

The cashiers at my store are dog ugly old people. Well, one sorta cute shy girl. Since this little thing I had with the bakery girl (the hotmom), word got out and the bottom line is people talk to much, thats why I kind of stayed away from her at work.

So, Im just gonna keep it friendly with the co-workers, even the hot ones and just stick with trying to pick up customers :) Or at least practice on em

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

Somebody told me advice on this before. You have to PING people that you work with. If you come off too strong then it ruins your chances with anyone else that you may come across with at work and it also doesn't really help your work environment.

You need to get a friendly vibe going and stuff like that. Once you've gotten that then you can progress (Kino, teasing, jokes, and etc.)

If you see her being unreceptive to any of these things then you know where you stand and where she stands, but as you progress and move towards (I'd go with having lunch together, and not anything major like dinner/movie) you can figure out if she's interested in you and even if she's not, there's always good ways of recovering from a simple request like that. ("It's cool, I'll go with X instead) you see my message!

Note: If she does reject you at any point of you trying to move forward, then you have to continue to act towards her and everyone else as if you're not affected. Any change in behavior on your part may not resonate too well. Don't do the "ignoring" stuff off of being rejected.

Update: My best buddy is having a BBQ/Party on Saturday night. I told him to invite her for me n he said he will. How should I approach gaming her if she shows up at the party?

Ok, another update...

I changed my mind about it. I dont really want to game this chick the way I'd game another chick at a party...this is the kind of girl that I'd like to have for a girl friend, not a one night stand...so I think I'm just going to take it easy with her. Any suggestions? How should I approach her without coming on too strong? I've been known to come on too strong in the past.

i'm in this situation...i have the friendly vibe going on with a girl who just started......we'll see how this progresses....i've macked on the last two girls at work....i closed the first one but then she got fired the week after and got kind of weird...kept on pursuing after she got fired but got mixed signals and she lost interest....2nd one got canned before i could close.....re:L new girl... i just want to get in before she gets fired...hah. she left the door open today that she wanted to get a drink after work tonight ("i really need a drink tonight"), but i already had plans so i let her know that so she knows i'm the man. :)

have you even spoken to her at all yet? i'd do something bold, unrelated to her, at the party so you have something to talk about or that she notices you.....i dunno, jump in the pool with your clothes on, "accidentally" set your shirt on fire by the BBQ, who cares....something that will be memorable...get a reaction from her so you're not just that creepy guy that stares at her. if you don't talk to her at the party, then at least you have something to go on when you're at work next.

I can't believe how much of a freaking wuss I am...she was sitting in the staffroom reading something yesterday and I came in for a drink. We were alone in there for good 2 minutes and I still couldn't work up the nerve to ask her out...how should I approach this?
