I was in a hospital, for my anesthesia rotation, yesterday; it was a very slow day with only one surgery scheduled so I had an opportunity to sit down and shoot the **** with the anesthiesologist I was assigned to, he's an immigrant from Russia and he's in his 50s. We ended up talking about women, and he said some interesting things I thought I should share here (imagine them said with a thick Russian accent ).

1. "Your d-ick isn't looking for a peer, but you should be."

"I f-ucked alot of women- now there was good ****s, and there's bad ****s; but one girl really stands out. She was beautiful Siberan girl- really pretty to look at; she cooked for me, cleaned my clothes, took care of me, and I really enjoyed her company. She was the best girl I ever found and she was only Ok in bed.

2. "Never go back"

"I don't care if the girl was the best f-uck of your entire life- if you go back, she'll be the worst. Going back to a woman leads to nothing but headaches and problems, and it's not worth it. Just walk away and don't look back."

3. Live life all out.

"If I'm going to f-uck a girl, I'm going to f-uck a queen. If I'm going to steal, I'll steal a million dollars. Live all out, life is too short to live half-ass-ed."

I work for ski patrol at a busy mountain. When im in the clinic i try to talk to the docs who are on rotation.

Most of them are actually pretty cool when they are just hanging out. They all have been really helpful to me when i tell them im applying to med school.

I actually want to get into anesthesia...i'll have to PM you.

Really??? 10-15 years ago, anesthesia residencies weren't filling, and TONS of FMGs were in the programs. Guess things have changed.

Things can change. This place can become like Europe (socialist in nature when it comes to health care) and medical doctors salaries plunge as a consequence.

Good luck getting it, anesthesia is almost impossible to get nowadays. Hopefully your board scores are above 90, your grades are top notch, and your letter of rec are flawless.

I have actually read from a lot of med students that anesthesia is middle-of-the-road right now as far as residency competition. It could be changing. I know back in the mid to late 90's they were practically begging people to get into anesthesia. But the nature of the work and the lifestyle offerings will only make it more popular in the coming years.
