"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I'd like to start a topic on a subject that interests me.

Now, this is just a personal preference, and I've never been able to understand this about myself, but I am drawn to women who smoke. I qualify that statement by saying that ugly women who smoke are repulsive. The smoking tends to enhance their ugliness. OTOH, beautiful women who smoke tend to be alluring. I think this is some conditioning from days gone by when movies and pop-culture glamourized it. I'm a young guy but have seen enough B/W movies in my day to appreciate the way it was glamourized. My attraction is not quite to the level of a fetish. I do not require it to be attracted or turned on. But those women do tend to catch my eyes.

I tend to enjoy watching a woman smoke only when she does it in a feminine manner. Attractive women tend to have their smoking "style" perfected just as their clothes and make-up are deliberate and tasteful. I tend to be attracted to the longer cigarettes with white filters. The brown filter cigarettes imply harsh, full flavor nicotine, signaling a strong addiction and smoking more out of need than out of personal style. Silly, because in reality most are addicted, but this is just some conditioning in my mind that I do my best to explain.

Anyway, to the point. I'm going out this weekend solo or maybe with a friend to a club I like. It is a combination restaurant-club with live bands and since they serve food local ordinances require smoking outside. This tends to be a gathering place for hot girls. I find that another attractive thing about women who smoke is they tend to be more sociable, laid back, have broader boundaries and are more approachable. Lighting up their cigarette is an ettiquette technique that helps get a conversation started. And frankly, I find a certain pleasure in just watching them enjoy their endulgences. I know deep inside that I should seek out a non-smoker for all the obvious reasons, but nevertheless.

Anyway, I am an on/off smoker myself. I find it more comfortable to stand outside with a smoke in my hand too. It also goes well with the beer in my hand.

Question...I've been told be an attractive female friend that most women who smoke are turned off by a male smoker. That is, attractive women. They do not permit their potential partner the luxury of having a weakness or flaw. They figure they are attractive enough to get any man they want, regardless of their habit, so it is easy for them to just weed through the smokers to find a strong willed non-smoker.

I'm amazed that a woman can admit that she is a hypocrite and that other women are too. But I'm not sure if this is real or just her own personal preference. What are your observations guys?

I know that the reality is that if I ditch the habit myself, I open countless doors that are shut by non-smokers in the first place. And I need to get a grip on that...but until then, what are your thoughts?

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

I have a different theory.

"If she smokes, she swallows."

It's been my experience that with any woman with whom I've been intimate ,who enjoys smoking, will also enjoy taking my load down her gullet.

I also have a slight smoking fetish watching women who smoke purely for the pleasure of smoking, not out of need.

Mrs. K smokes cigarillos and looks damned hot doing it. Women who thoroughly immerse themselves in the experience of smoking do indeed have thier own seductive style and it's quite exhilarating.

since i am probably the only female smoker of the board, i thought i would chime in.

i always found dating non smokers harder when i was single because i was a smoker. i never cared if someone else smoked or not, but i did find that the majority of guys who didn't smoke preferred not to date smokers. (non smokers just don't want to taste smoke or smell smoke on someone they are dating.)

i don't know if that helps you any, but i think that every person differs and that if you enjoy smoking sometimes and a woman smoker has a problem with that might be a good sign that you wouldn't really want to end up with her anyways haha.

Penkitten I thought you quit! :nono:

I personally find smoking repulsive, especially when a woman smokes. It's an automatic next for me. I wont even approach a woman who i see smoking, no matter how hot.

Smoking is a true addiction. Smokers all know they should quit and say they are going to very soon, but they just cant seem to bring it to fruition.

To be fair, I used to smoke as a teenager. I pseudo-quit a couple of times, but one day I just quit for good. Havent touched one since. It takes some mettle, but if you are serious about nixing the single most preventable cause of death and disease from your life, it's not that hard.

More recently, I dipped (chew). Chewing is easier to quit, IMO, but it is almost as addictive. I had to quit becasue my tonsils would swell up whenever I dipped. It didnt take much effort to stop that one.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Are biggest sexual organ is our brains if you think something is a turn on it will be if you think something is a turn off it will be...

I am a non smoker but my observation of the situation is this... men who smoke take a drag off their cigarettes and women who smoke well at least the ones lately I have been admiring and having naughty sexual thoughts over suck their cigarettes while closing their eyes making me go... oh yeah yeah sweet lips can I be your next cigarette;)
