"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

why is it that women want the really tall, macho guys? Alot of dating ads show women express this preference clearly. They mentioned that shorter men don't bother. WTF? Are they being snobbish ?

Are 50% of the average short men chopped liver?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

It's their preference because men with these outside characteristics look more "manly" and women like men who are...well, men.

But it doesn't really matter if you have game. I know a guy who is shorten than his girlfriend, and she is all over him beause he has a personality that attracts women.

Picard----yes women want MEN who are bigger then them....why....because they don't want to be the dominant one....they want you to be in control......I know I would never, date a woman bigger than myself....
Not only would it look weird cause I'm 6'4" but I'd feel weird about it...

Men want Barbie; women want Ken, but everyone has to compromise somewhere. No one maxes out all of the categories that might be attractive to women - height, body, looks, brains, money, power, confidence, humor, etc. I doubt that everyone here has all of those things, but they still get women. Your shortcomings are as important as your mind sees them.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

hey, I am a bookworm. I never date any woman in my life. I was raised to be bookworm. Most of the relatives are bookworms. What can I do?

short guys

Picard, like most people, you probably have a lot of untapped potential. I'm only 5'7" but I do quite well for a short guy. I've dated 3 taller women, all attractive who were 5'8", 5'9" and 5'10". I f-closed two of them including the 5'10" one. :)

I'm not trying to brag, I'm just showing you that being short is a disadvantage for sure, but you can still be sucessful with women. Improve things like your build (work out, eat right), your finances, your personality/game, the way you dress, the way you style your hair, your social status, and so on. All these things go hand in hand and reinforce one another.

If you're a bookworm, maybe you could somehow use that hobby to socialize with others who share your interests. It could be a way to meet some nerdy (but cute) girl bookworm.

I've found that in the online world, it's much harder for a short man because most girls have height requirements and don't see your other positive qualities. Plus with 50 guys contacting them who are 6'+ why would she waste time on you?

IMO it's better for a short man to focus on women in the real world. It's my impression that most women online looking for men aren't very good catches anyway (usually fat, psycho, etc.)

Hope this helps!

I tried to dress less like a bookworm. I wear Hugoboss shirt and oakley glasses. However I am not a muscular guy. I am, well, a slim dude. I must have the worst luck than any guys on this planet.

I haven't score with chick at all except ahem... high end escort girls. My speech pattern sound too formal. I did loosen up over the years. I used to sound bookish just like a librarian.

I can talk in more casual tone now.

Do women who look really beautiful in business suit are expensive to date? I seen plenty of them wear these clothes to work. Should I avoid them during this hour ? Should I catch them at the bar after work. These women are really good looking. What do you think guys?

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Well unfortunately, that is not the way it works.

Attraction isn't a choice. ;)

Everyone, including you, "judges" whether or not somone is physically attractive based on their appearance.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

PICARD: I covered the theme of your thread in great detail here:
Social Matching Theory

Have a read of the whole thread since I cover a lot of ground in it, then come back and tell me what you think here.

A girl I was dating a while ago said she wouldn't ever date someone shorter than her.

Turns out it wasn't the height that was the true issue, what she wanted was to feel safe and protected with her man and she just generally got that feeling around big & strong men.

So see if you can convey an attitude that you're the type of guy that could defend her and keep her safe in the world and the height won't factor in.

This is true. If you're a short man like me, don't be surprised if taller women aren't interested most of the time. But when they are, it's great. :)

You're right, you have to man up a bit when you're a short guy, because otherwise like you said, the women will think you can't protect them, plus you get pushed around. I'm 5'7" but I weigh 185, and it's muscle... I'm short, but not little.

If you're short and skinny (like I believe Picard is) then your main option is small petite girls. In my college days when I was about 125lbs I dated some smoking hot "petite and sweet" girls. They're fun too, because you can throw them around in bed. hehe
