"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

So last week I asked the girl I wanted to go to prom with to prom, I waited so long to ask her because I was nervous to do it. But I did, last week at that, she declined.

I didn't get mad, there's no need to be. But come back to school the next week and rumor has it that I got turned down by her. And another girl cause I did ask another girl jokingly (just to gauge her response wasn't concerned if she was going to decline me or not.) And apparently they're saying that I asked on the same day which I didn't.

Like really? Wtf... -sighs-

Moral of the story girls gossip way too god damn much.

How should I make advances now that most people know about this?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Honestly, just let it go. Don’t worry about it.

It was a risk that you had to take. If you want a prom date, you obviously have to ask. And whether she says yes or no, she WILL tell her friends. (It’s the whole “nobody can keep a secret” theory I mentioned before.) But you don’t control what they say after you ask somebody out, so don’t worry about it.

If anybody tries to grill you on this, and they likely WILL, play dumb.

Gossiper: “Didn’t you ask so and so to the prom?”

You: “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” <Repeat this phrase as often as you need to and until the gossiper backs off. It doesn’t matter if they believe you or not.>

You did nothing wrong, but DON’T admit it because then you are feeding the gossip beast and opening the door to a bunch of other personal questions about which girls you like. It’s none of their business.

I don’t know how soon your prom is, or whether there is still enough time to ask another chick. That part is up to you.

Chicks dig validation. Getting asked out is validation. Take it as a complement that she is telling her friends, if she thought you were a loser she wouldn't tell anyone.

If another chick asks you about this, but tell her "What, are you asking me to the prom?" If it's a guy, just say "Thanks, but I dig chicks."

Anytime someone asks you a difficult question or something you just don;t want to deal with, just act like it is some-kind of come on, then see what happens.

Chick: "I hear you asked out XYZ to the prom and she turned you down."
You: "What... are you interest in going with me... I don't know... you look like you might be fun."

Yeah funny enough I read that thread. Thoroughly. Thanks though and I'm not mad at all about it. No need to be

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

And I have a bunch of time until prom. I'm planning on going in the whip.

Ironic enough, I was thinking of buying this cool shirt that reads
"smile at me if I've got a chance" but feel like that's desperation lol. Should I get it?
Dude this is my type of humor but I tell you the majority of people would find that creepy and nerdy..
I like the Prom idea about the t shirt.. I have an idea

Why not playing a game with the next one, you wear a custom t shirt with Congratulations, you're going to prom with me under a hoodie or something like that
and you ask the girl to guess the colour of your shirt under it. She has 3 chances and if she doesnt find it, she has to accept one of your request.. Obviously you wear a colour like brown so she doesnt find it. AND then you take your hoodie off and bang you are the baddest DJ's of high school. Trust me chicks in high schools are gonna love this type of thing if you're not doing it awkwardly.

It's just an idea, something I would definetely do, with a nice attitude you could get a very cute girl

They do. And the number of fűcks you should give should be zero.

How about one that says "smile at me if you think YOU have a chance"

;)

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
