This thread is clueless.
Women want sex more than men. This is a fact. Here's the reality:
Studies have shown that men who have no estrogen have no sex drive. Women, when they go through menopause and lose their estrogen, also lose their sex drive. The parts of the brain responsible for sex are receptive to estrogen.
Remember how Pook used to go on about how girls are sexual beings, and men aren't really? There is a scientific basis for this claim. Girls are chock full of estrogen, and estrogen is what makes the sex center of our brains work. Even men who have testosterone through the roof have zero sex drive without any estrogen.
The reason we all think men are more sexual is simple. We have more testosterone, and testosterone is a hormone that makes us ACT. It makes us actually DO something about our sex drive. Girls have very little testosterone, so they need to have a much higher sex drive before they are willing to act on it. Men, on the other hand, if they have high testosterone, then they will act on even a low sex drive.
Women are way, way more sexual than men. When they run around spewing out bullsh!t statistics like "men think about sex every 3 seconds", they are projecting their own thoughts onto men. Women think about sex more than men, but their thoughts aren't anywhere near as visible as actions, so all we see are men going after sex.
And Penkitten was partially right about the "spurts" thing. Women's estrogen levels do fluctuate over their cycle and according to their moods (actually, their estrogen causes their moods, not vice versa, but let's not get academic). Women can be more or less sexual than normal, but they are always more sexual than men. They just don't have the testosterone required to act on their libido.
I hope that clears up some of the crap in here. It is a scientifically verifiable fact that is backed up by mountains of common sense by people who know women (like Pook and others), that women are way more sexual than men, and way hornier way more often.
