Recently I started looking for a wingman as i started feeling weird about being alone all the time during the evenings in the bars and so on. Especially that winter is approaching and have to rely mainly on a couple of venues

this made me realize that most guys have nothing really going on in their life and me as another guy would not want to spend time with them this way

then I tried to go on some pua telegram groups and stuff like, and I was shocked on the quality of men there. Bottom of the barrel

What's weird about it? I think it's a good test. Unless you genuinely want a guy to shoot the breeze with and meeting women isn't your top priority.

Personally I think winging is best understood by really good, game aware friends with no ego investment. You've got to have a pretty good connection with the guy. Otherwise I just get to know my bartenders if I go alone or, if I'm truly on my own, just jump into the deep end.

most of my best friends are either in very long relationships either are preparing to get married. One of the problems when you are also over 30 as a guy

Well I always kinda liked going out solo. But I would do it more on nights like Thursday rather than weekends when things are busy and more group-oriented or couple-oriented.

So I guess my recommendation is to push yourself a little more. Make it weird. Defenestrate. If you're well dressed and have a mysterious air about you, and socially adept, people will want to chat with you.

it is not about doing it, as I did this most of the time

it is more about that you can really go out too long ( especially in weekends ) solo without taking an energy hit

when you go solo you put a lot more energy when you go out so you mask the thing that you are actually solo

plus opening up sets is way easier with a wingman, talking with 2-3 girls at once it is not easy
