"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Hey guys new/renewed subscriber and I wanted to say "Thank you" to all you guys for the helpful posts that you share, i have spent the past month reading through all these voraciously to get a "Clue" how to have a real romantic life again.
I was in a crap marriage, and was a real AFC "EXTREME" until I had found this site a few years ago and used some posts to start "being a man" and stand up for myself. Only thing was, I forgot the romantic parts and only focused on the personal aspects of it and now, three years later, I am back to being the person everybody told me they missed.
So while this post is not about why I am back here (Glad I found it again!!) it's just a little insight I feel I may be Dj-ish enough to share (after rebooting). Please feel free to offer critiscm for the aforementioned reasons.
I was driving down the road one day and was passed by a shiny Dodge Viper. I was impressed by how shiny it was as I looked at my grime covered car but you know what, I loved my car. That got me to thinking about all the varieties of cars that exist and how they compare to women. My baby is a SAAB, it's not a turbo but it hauls a$$ all day long when it needs to and gets great mileage and does not require a ton of maintenance. When it does break down, it's usally an expensive repair, but oh well, I LOVE driving it and it looks great when it's cleaned up.
I also thought about all the FAST exotic cars that exist and they would be great for a weekend drive, but i don't think I would really be happy with that as my ONLY car. There are a lot of different cars that would compete with my car though and I would be happy to probably drive any one of them as well, as long as mine runs right though. I'll keep it.
In terms of women, there are plenty of choices about which ones to date, some are low mileage, some are high, I will jsut look for the one that fits me best. I never appreciated my car much, it fit me more and grew on me more the longer I have owned it. Is there any reason that a realtionship wouldn't be the same?
I know that it is completely assinine to compare women or relationships AS cars, understand the spirit of the post and it might make some sense.
As I said guys, feel free to contradict and if you would like some clairification, let me know!

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I haven't yet seen a SAAB I liked. Sure, your car may be great to you but will it make your friends jealous?

I like my car but once that b*tch breaks down I'm upgrading :).

Buddy, deep down women like to indulge in their emotions and they love men who can make them feel emotions.

Men are the same, cept we are physically motivated.

Ever known a father somewhere or a friend who just couldnt sit down, he had to be kept busy doing stuff.....

well women are the same with their feelings.

your car is just there to make her feel....but unlike the real deal (a good connection) your car can become a fraud when she finds out whats behind it.

dont put your faith in the car

I believe that cars reflect what people want in a relationship too. When I see women driving around in a SUV, I think they want safety/reliability. When I see a man driving a Mustang/Camaro, I immediately think he doesn't really care about women that much and only wants to get laid. When I see a woman drive a Corolla or Camry, I see a woman that wants reliability and is family oriented.

I know a girl that drives a Subaru WRX which is basically a utility car that goes fast. She reflects that, she enjoys being in the outdoors a lot and doing a lot of physical activities - she's below average looking however like the car.

I also know a girl that drives a Mercedes Kompressor which is basically a low end Luxury car. She reflects that, on the outside she is attractive and has an attractive place to keep. (clear signs of high maintenance) and inside she is also high maintenance like Mercedes cars itself.

There is also also some truth to some people who buy large SUV/Trucks to make themselves appear bigger.

Me? I drive a Toyota Rav4 ;-)

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Thanks Dr. I appreciate you understand my allegory! To those that think I speak only of cars, use the Dr's statements and reread the post.
Let me know what I need to say to clear that up more.

Actually re-reading your posts I can see where the confusion lay. I am not speaking of the car as a tool to get women. I am speaking of your car as a metaphor for the raltionship that works bet for you. See my car may not turn other peoples heads but it does mine, jsut like some women I have dated. My car is not the fastest model on the planet but she moves when she needs to, jsut like some women I have dated...does this help?
Another point. My turns signals work intermittently and that frustrates me to no end, like lack of communication in a relationship. If I send out the wrong or no signals, other people get pissed at my actions, even though I clearly know what I want to do.
Try this, next time you drive your car, think about the things you like about it and how that fits into the relationships you have or had. IF your car goes fast, do you live that way with your women?
If your car is a beater, but realiable does that explain the relationships you have had??
THINK about it, then let me know if I am onto something or on the crakpipe. Like the Dr. said, the types of cars could go to explaining women's motives as well. knowing what they drive and understanding their actions may tell you more about what they want without even knowing it.
