About a month ago I was out celebrating my birthday. I won't lie, business has been slow, the job sucks, I was only out because my friend the professor was picking up the tab. I spot a target and one of the regular bro type guys at the pool hall spots her friend. We team up, mind you I just met this guy, and I open the set. A few brews and racks of pool later we get numbers. I get a little make out going. Cool deal.
Over the next couple of weeks my target pretty much blows me off every time I asked her to meet up or hang out. I catch up with my wing and he says the same. As it turns out my target was a student of my professor friend. She started working for him.
Fast forward to Saturday night. The professor invites me out for a nightcap. The three of us (including the professors 24 year old girlfriend) all have a great time and guess who shows up? The targets. My target was pretty chill, but her Brazilian friend was overly happy to see me. The rest of the night my target kept smiling into the professors face while his girlfriend kept scowling. Me and the brazillian on the other hand had a great time and ended up exchanging numbers. She's been texting me ever since.
Now here's the part that's funny to me. The professor and his girlfriend tell me I screwed up because I was "all over the Brazilian all night". LOLWUT? I had to set him straight. A. She was all over me. and B. I gave my target plenty of chances to show the slightest bit of interest. She played it too cool and lost. What I didn't tell him was that it was obvious that she was more into him than me, but of course I can't tell him that with his girlfriend standing right there.
Anyway I'm setting up a date with the Brazilian to go shoot photos this weekend as I have access to some new gear and I want to test it out. An hour after I setting up this photoshoot date, my (former) target texts me that she needs graduation photos. LOL. I told her I already had a shoot lined up for the weekend but I'd call her later. I won't.
The really funny part, I'm so busy with work, job hunting and working on my website, I really don't have time to worry about any of them. Who ever shows interest and shows up wins. The moral of the story? Well I guess there are a few, but for me, my takeaway is Trust in the Anti-Dumps Machine, be busy with your own life. Give zero fvcks. Now lets see if I can get my Brazilian flag.
