Windows 8 is absolutely rubbish.

Nothing beats user friendly ness.
They seem to have scrapped that idea and thrown in a clunky interface.

I work with windows 8 at my college and the only thing that makes it tolerable is learning the short cut keys.

Wouldn't recommend windows 8 to my worst enemy.

It's sh1t at first but gets better as you become used to it. Learning all the shortcuts really does help.

sorry but its sh!t full stop, those shortcuts are really no better than gimmicks.
is there anyway I can get XP on my new laptop to replace this fvcking dross?

You can't install XP on new computers. You get an error message about invalid file format.

Windows 7 Professional has XP mode.

I'm a Linux guy at heart I love Ubuntu but you better know shell commands. I duel booted my macbook with win8 and meh its lame. Its more of a tablet ui.
