"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

how do you guys handle her reaching back out to you after a period of no contact?
I don't plan on seeing her when I get back.
Don't even answer. She decided she wanted to move on, so she's part of the past now. Why would i entertain the past if i didn't want anything from her anymore? To be polite? To give her the ego boost of knowing i still want her by giving her my time?

No.

However if you answer. Be a little bit too busy for her and don't give her anything. Don't ask any questions and only engage in something substantial, like "i fuxed up, we need to talk". Not small talk or 'breadcrumbs' like this which never lead anywhere but agony and male hamstering. The situation is not like before and she's the reason for that. Never give girls the girlfriend experience when the relationship is broken. Actions have consequences and the modern day woman needs to be taught that.

You probably just calmed her anxious state where she asked herself things like: "does he hate me now?", "i wonder what he does" and boosted her ego by conversing with her, but that's fine. Now you know better and can spend your energy on someone more worthy.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Great breakdown of what just happened. I hate that I calmed her anxious state trying to be polite (or more accurately I was trying not to seem bothered /upset about the situation). But you are right who cares about her, next time I will ignore.
