I hadn't heard about this, so I Googled it. There are so many of these #metoo incidents lately, it's hard to keep up with them.
It sounds like Ansari might have possibly been a little insensitive, but he didn't force her into anything. If women don't want to have sex with a guy they're out on a date with, they need to start taking responsibility, and standing up for themselves. Not just blow the guy so she can get out of there, then later accuse him of assault. That's some weak sauce there.

I think she didnt she didn't want to have sex with him for whatever reason, but she also wanted to make sure that she didnt say 'no' to sexual stuff, so that he wold hopefully call her again.

Personally, i have no problem saying no. My body, my choice. But I do understand the very real situation when a female feels overwhelmed and frozen in the moment and doesn't know what to do/say to extricate herself gracefully.

I actually just had that situation at work when a female co worker showed me a male OLD profile that was just a crotch/**** pic. She showed it to me in her cube, in the center of the cube farm, with a bunch of guys sitting around and she started verbalizing innuendos about the pic. I was actually worried the guys might get offended. Terribly inappropriate. I didn't know what to say to excuse myself gracefully/without upsetting her/making a scene. But what I find interesting is why he stops to talk to the guy. I don't think he's trying to put him down, I think he's genuinely trying to help him. He is slipping naturally into his instructor role, and is trying to teach him. The chode guy accidentally brought up a topic that Owen finds very interesting, and could probably talk about for days. He loves talking about this topic, and is something of an expert on it, so that's why he stops to talk to him. It's more interesting to him than trying to pick up the girls there. That's what my impression is anyway.

I agree by the end Owen was just fully trying to AMOG him. Because the guy wasn't buying into anything he was saying. But I think he was initially drawn into the conversation because he was drawn to the topic.
