What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

You see this more now days since so many people want to avoid carbs. But even 50 years ago there were people who didn't like to eat the crust. I've always thought it was incredibly wasteful.
By the way, I'm talking about the dough around the outside of the pizza here, not the underside. Just to be clear.

I don't eat pizza much but when I do I eat the crust first. Done that since I was a kid. It's a save the best for last mindset I guess. Best being the toppings.

Some people don't like "plain" bread. Like some people cut the crusts off sandwiches.
Personally, I like a pizza with light sauce, thick crust. When I was in HS I worked at a pizza place that made their own dough. After a fresh batch the owner would cook a pizza with ONLY crust, a little cheese, garlic, and oregano. That was pretty good.
