Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I have noticed that online dating has gone to a whole different level now that we r ib the new year.So much that sites like myspace eharmoney and match.com will soon be replacing the bar scene and chat lines. It is kinda of being on star track. You put in or fill out some info online like eharmoney offers and they get u your ideal mate of course its not that easy but.The technology is their.Pretty soon we will have sites that can tell us what jobs we would be good at and I belive their r some available :0:up:

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

The funny part is, there's a chance you might be serious.

I don't know if they'll replace the bar scene. Their purpose is completely different. People don't shop at bars for real relationships and people on dating sites aren't looking for quick and dirty hookup. Myspace isn't a dating site, it's a social network geared toward self promotion which is something entirely different.

My friend, I hope your not being serious

Online dating sites are a SHAM. Sure, you might find someone to mess around with on such a site but alas, if your really ever hope to find that special someone, you must be willing to go out into the REAL world and faces all the hurdles that are presented to you. Besides, most of the women I've seen on such sites are either ugly OR don't even respond to your messages! Whats the point in that?

Online dating sites are a wussy way out of playing the game. The internet will NOT replace the real thing, EVER. So, please, get that silly idea out of your head! Sure, it might make things easier but you still have to get out there and and FIGHT YOUR WAY THROUGH THE SYSTEM. You might be able to fib your way through a online dating site but if she asks to meet you in real person, if your insecure, you'll crumble!

Just my two cents on the matter.

Human beings are socially ritualistic creatures. We not only have the need to be socially connected to one another but to engage in communal rituals. In this regard, myspace and the collective Internet as a whole will never replace bars, clubs, martini lounges, trendy hotspots, as the primo facto medium to meet and mingle with new people; because the key factor, I think, is the social rituals must be in person. No amount of online will ever feel nearly the same as the excitement, delight, and spontaneity of meeting girls, and vice versa, face-to-face; and thus online will always be relegates towards secondary preference. It's just like how, historically, people thought with the advent of the telephone, and later the television, how people would never walk outside their homes; but look at us today, still socially active in the flesh as ever.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I hope you aren't serious. I have about six different profiles on different sites, including Match which is apparently quite popular. My experience is that it's not a good way to meet people, as it's not effective. Also there are too many details in the profiles that I believe no one actually cares about very much, if at all.

When I go out though, I can't help but meet people, even if I don't approach anyone at all. It's almost guaranteed that people will approach me. Believe it or not, when I go out my goal is just to drink. If I meet people, great. If not, that's OK. I also like to people watch for some reason (no I don't stalk).

I have a different view. It really depends on luck, and just hoping the chick you're talking to is worth it. I met one of my current girlfriends though an art site, and I was going though and everytime a cute chick put her picture up within the galleries, I commented that she looked pretty/cute/<3/etc. This one girl, we started talking, and ran online game, and I snagged her pretty quickly, maybe 2 weeks. It's just past our 3rd month now...and I plan on visiting her in March (Arizona is kinda far..lol). It's then I'll get to see if it's the real deal, but until then, I can say that it's been pretty solid, we communicate a lot and stuff.

Here's to hoping for a good one, and if it's a blow out, I'll be in Vegas and California Baby!
