Why is it so rare to see a hot blonde with a blond guy?

I just noticed this, you never see a couple where the woman is a hot blonde and her boyfriend or husband is also a blond.

At least not in the US or Canada.

Because we are attracted to our phenotypical compliments. Opposite attracts opposite.
