Oh I would never want to talk to a woman about philosophy so she could tell me how I should live... rather I would want her as an intellectual companion.

I don't need sex to be happy.

If I believe that I need sex from another person to be happy then I have surrendered the power over my own happiness to them.

But the truth is this: it is not people or events or things that ever make us happy or sad. Rather it is the value judgements, the impressions, we have of these things that make us happy or sad.

So I have used the power of my choice to make the value judgement that lack of sex i not bad, and having sex is not good (and the same could be said about love, or cars, or money or firends or anything else). In that way I have taken the power over my own happiness for myself. So long as my happiness comes from me then happiness becomes a choice I can make.

The idea of "either you must have sex with women or you must have sex with men" sounds like some narrow-minded bull**** the matriarcy preaches.

For there is nothing good or bad, but thinking makes it so...

With her? Is this necessary for you? I mean NECESSARY not, "it would be cool if she did" way, but necessary in a relationship for you to be happy?

Like so many other things from childhood, this too is something I see now that I must leave behind. Loyalty, frugality, a practical sort of intelligence, friendlines, a nurturing spirit for the children... these are the things needed for the woman who will have my children one day.

A deep connection between two souls (love?) is certaily not required for a woman to fit that role.

I'm not saying "aim Low", meaning, have Low Standards, not at all, but in truth, an Intellectual Companion is few and far between.
I hate for this to come out as "just settle, it'll never get better". But...it's important to not have too a high standard, you know?

It is profoundly disappointing and undoubtedly it has been my greatest disenchantment. I have almost altogether stopped talking to women because I just don't have anything to say to them. They want to talk about people and I don't.

Women are mean to be loved, not soulmated, not intellectually equalled.

I can see what a woman would be 'of use' for in my life.

But loved?

How could someone that you 'don't have anything to say to' ever be someone you could love? How could someone so far below you ever be loved? Could Thomas Jefferson really love Sally Hemmings?

Some of you misunderstand the Great One. He isn't saying that you should stop sexing women just because they are shallow and non-intellectual. He's simply saying that you should clearly understand women's inferiorities before you deal with them. Remember, Pook's Mill is not a seduction website.

In the Holy Book of Pook, he similarly wrote that you cannot attract women through abstract philosophy. Action and fun will make them love you, however.

One of my projects has been harmed, yes perhaps even destroyed beyond repair. That project of mine where I would find a lover/friend/companion of a woman is what has had the damage done to it. But it is just a project!

I have had no harm done to me. There is no injury here to this man. So there is no call for pitty.

Lately this year I've been looking into the meaning of films like the trilogies of Star Wars and The Matrix. What I am finding is very profound. They are the myths of our time, embedded with so much wisdom. Even before I understood the lessons in the Matrix trilogy, I still liked the whole trilogy and was shocked when I heard all my friends didn't like it. I'm glad some people out there share my view

Consider this perspective on The Matrix:

For those that like to dig deeper, than note the biblical references throughout the series. Heck, the French Man (Merovigchian) is the Devil, just read the elevator button Morpheous presses when he goes to see him for the second time. The Architect represents God - i.e. the creator of the world and its destroyer whenever things don't go as he wants. He even has you to chose a select group of people to restart Zion again sort of like Noah's Ark. Neo is Jesus, the one who realizes that peace and love is the answer, not war. And the Oracle represents the Holy Spirit - the conciousness that resides in all of us. It's a deep trilogy if you PAY ATTENTION.

Me neither. There are LOADS of ways to feel happy.

But that doesn't mean that a fulfilling sex life doesn't add a tremendous value to my life.
That value cannot be replaced.

Why chase after anything, after all, your happiness comes from within you.
You might as well sit alone in your bedroom all day long, after all, you're happy on your own.
I think this is the most common trap in spirituality. People think they don't need anything, but in fact, we all want certain things in our life and to deny that is what DJDamage already mentioned:

We're social creatures. If you have lots of succesful, positive, 'win/win' relationships in your life, you are more fulfilled. PERIOD.
Spirituality is cool and has it's place, but don't go over the top with it, folks.

And it is your opportunity to make that human experience rich for yourself, and for others.

I believe it's a NATURAL thing for a man to love a woman and vice-versa. That's why I live it.

But your choice is up to you. You can become a Great Lover, empower the woman you choose to love and know how to truly see and appreciate the nature of women. Or you can just complain how women are all the things they shouldn't be. Or you could make a call to Bubba and get some tough love

Its a rare breed to find intellectual woman that is both hot and normal (not a feminist or a lesbian). When it comes to women I don't need to talk to her about philosophy or the meaning of life, I can discover it on my own, talk to my friends about it or watch the discovery channel. The only thing I expect her is to make me happy (not in a sense of making me complete bvllsh1t but if we get along great and she doesn't nag, she is affectionate, she keeps my stomach full and my balls dry then I am happy).

Women are a part of life too and your philosophy should try to include them!

I choose to love women and people in general because it adds a variation into my existence. I am a social human being, and yes women are sometimes far more emotional and sometimes stupid, but who isn't unless you are a social robot, in which case I feel sad for you.

I also question the intellectual side of women as well, in certain respects no they do not equal man, but if I don't know something I will learn and soak up all the knowledge.

Example: My girlfriend is a musician and I am a jock. I choose to listen to her on her topics of how to play music because she knows more about me.

Sitting there behind your little keyboard saying that women have NO value for intelligence unless they are fat or ugly or a feminist (in which the first two are usually true) is like saying that Africans, chinese, and indians have no value, only the Anglo-saxon people have value. You are basically getting rid of half of the human population as inferior.

Get off your high horse of "I'm smarter than everybody else and the rest of the world can go fvck themselves", and realize that women have A LOT to offer us guys in the ways that we have never even thought of. They thought processes maybe wierd to us, but as long as we understand and adapt to it, then we will survive.
