Define Intellectual?!Luthor Rex said:Oh I would never want to talk to a woman about philosophy so she could tell me how I should live... rather I would want her as an intellectual companion.
Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.
Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers. Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.
I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.
Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.
This will quickly drive all women away from you.
And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.
Why would that ever be my alternative?KarmaSutra said:Well your alternative is to chug c0ck and bite a pillow.
You don't need sex but you want sex and when you denie yourself that form of pleasure, I believe you denie a part of your humanity as well.Luthor Rex said:I don't need sex to be happy.
If I believe that I need sex from another person to be happy then I have surrendered the power over my own happiness to them.
Only I can make me happy.Interceptor said:That's why it's dangerous for men to create this "ideal" woman.
Does she make you happy??
Like so many other things from childhood, this too is something I see now that I must leave behind. Loyalty, frugality, a practical sort of intelligence, friendlines, a nurturing spirit for the children... these are the things needed for the woman who will have my children one day.Interceptor said:Do you really want to discuss Shakespeare, Tolstoy, Hawking, and Plato???
With her? Is this necessary for you? I mean NECESSARY not, "it would be cool if she did" way, but necessary in a relationship for you to be happy?
I think I know what you meant.Interceptor said:I'm not saying "aim Low", meaning, have Low Standards, not at all, but in truth, an Intellectual Companion is few and far between.
I hate for this to come out as "just settle, it'll never get better". But...it's important to not have too a high standard, you know?
I will add something, that I think is the underlying psychological, emotional, and evolutionary goal that we as Men have...
...and that is...
We are all actually looking for OUR Alpha Female.
Deep down, She is the "one". And we look to find "HER."
the "Alpha Female."
I can see what a woman would be 'of use' for in my life.Deep Dish said:It is profoundly disappointing and undoubtedly it has been my greatest disenchantment. I have almost altogether stopped talking to women because I just don't have anything to say to them. They want to talk about people and I don't.
Women are mean to be loved, not soulmated, not intellectually equalled.

As for OP, I pity you.
Lately this year I've been looking into the meaning of films like the trilogies of Star Wars and The Matrix. What I am finding is very profound. They are the myths of our time, embedded with so much wisdom. Even before I understood the lessons in the Matrix trilogy, I still liked the whole trilogy and was shocked when I heard all my friends didn't like it. I'm glad some people out there share my viewLuthor Rex said:BTW: if you haven't gotten the new Matrix box set with the philosopher commentary track, you should. It made me appreciate what I thought were dumb action movies much more.
I was in awe when I read that because I didn't catch it the first time around, or the second hehe. For those that like to dig deeper, than note the biblical references throughout the series. Heck, the French Man (Merovigchian) is the Devil, just read the elevator button Morpheous presses when he goes to see him for the second time. The Architect represents God - i.e. the creator of the world and its destroyer whenever things don't go as he wants. He even has you to chose a select group of people to restart Zion again sort of like Noah's Ark. Neo is Jesus, the one who realizes that peace and love is the answer, not war. And the Oracle represents the Holy Spirit - the conciousness that resides in all of us. It's a deep trilogy if you PAY ATTENTION.
Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Women are a part of life too and your philosophy should try to include them!DJDamage said:Its a rare breed to find intellectual woman that is both hot and normal (not a feminist or a lesbian). When it comes to women I don't need to talk to her about philosophy or the meaning of life, I can discover it on my own, talk to my friends about it or watch the discovery channel. The only thing I expect her is to make me happy (not in a sense of making me complete bvllsh1t but if we get along great and she doesn't nag, she is affectionate, she keeps my stomach full and my balls dry then I am happy).

Pook the seduction superhero? What kind of costume does he wear when he's out rescuing guys from the evil clutches of 'Hor!Obsidian said:Also, KarmaSutra -- The Great One must never allow his secret identity to become known. Otherwise, the matriarchy would hunt him down and attempt to destroy him. Kind of like Batman.
There is a group of blogs I check daily. Here's the links if you'd like to see them. Actually I disagree with Pook on various issues, but I find him to be an interesting thinker, as well as these other people:blueguy said:I still think this guy is Pook. Joined June 2006, same time Pook's blog started, references Pook all the time, has the exact same philosophies toward women, is of about the same intelligence of Pook, etc. He must check Pook's blog hourly cause he seems to post quotes from it only shortly after it appears.
Obsidian, you think the matriarchy exists as an active underground society outside of the collective propoganda set by today's women and would actively hunt Pook down? That is borderline conspiracy.![]()
Put some ointment on that pook head. Ointment in the form of Mr. Fingers. . .or was that Senior Fingers? Anyways, I must prefer him/them to Pook. Pook is a Genius but he is too pessimistic.Luthor Rex said:The nail known as woman has been hit on the head by a hammer that we will only ever know as "Pook"...

Seriously though, Pook's right and the ability of a woman to be an intellecutal companion for me was (is?) very important.
Oh well...
