If a lot of guys don't pick up on them, care to give a couple examples?

Subtle would mean somewhat ambiguous. With plausible deniability. But also. the possibility it means something. Women are more in tune with nuance. They rarely do social things by accident.

As an example. yesterday. arrived at a mid-sized city for work. Not being very familiar with the place, I did the nerdy thing and sought out the Visitors Center. Well. turns out the VC has long since moved. The place is now some BLM friendly shared work space.

Although I was totally in the wrong place, the girl who was minding the place brewed me a cup of coffee. Spent 20 minutes on her phone looking up places for me to visit. She asked What my plans for the night were. I told her, Tuesday night. Probably not much.

She told me such & such bar was happening tonight and she would be there & I should go.

I’d call this subtle. If I were single I’d have gone. And if we met up, She’d still have some plausible deniability. Or. If she were interested, It would be easy to facilitate anything more interesting. .

As opposed to more straight-forward. I took a 2 day class on auto repair, as i’m on the road frequently for work. It was kind of a hippy ‘70’s vibe place. I wound up talking to a girl in the class a bit. At the end of the class, she said. ‘Well, I guess we can fix our cars no matter what. Do you want to drive down the Coast with me?’. Much less ambiguous.
