"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

5. He's very good looking (they are stereotypically that way)

Does he listen to Streisand?
1. I'm not just "any" female...I'm an anti-feminist female he connects with on many levels. He doesn't make a habit of having close friendships with women. There's more than friendship between us as well.

2. He's not in his 40's. He is 30.

3. He is turned off by forward/aggressive women hitting on him because he is kinda old fashioned about certain things.

4. He doesn't like feminists and women who aren't feminine. In his opinion, a woman who drives an SUV in an urban area that gets no snow is not feminine. Yeah, I agree that's a bit much...but it's his opinion and he's entitled to it.

5. There are plenty of good looking guys who aren't gay, for crying out loud.

Dude...the post you made is just ridiculous. Just because a guy is picky about the women he's interested in, it doesn't make him gay. It just means he has enough going for him that he can afford to be picky.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Wyldfire, he sounds ultra-conservative. And might I ask, he does not think that there should be equality among the sexes? because thats what a feminist is. Well i do commend your friend for being a retrosexual.

And don't think he's gay either. I know plently of guys that dont like aggressive women, my boyfriend being one of them. Not to say they dont like aggressive women in bed.

And its also an age-old stereotype. Where are the retrosexuals who approach women and dont wait to be approached, who dont like being approached because it makes them feel less of a man if they're not doing all the work? Because i thought that's how its "supposed" to be like? I dont get it. There is nothing wrong with not liking aggressive women hitting on you all day long. I'd imagine it'd get annoying, especially if you're not interested.
On one hand he's very conservative...but in other ways he's not. In fact, in a lot of ways I'm far more conservative than he is. But when it comes to interactions between men and women, he is very conservative and old fashioned, but not in a religious way.

I thought you said he was in his 40's somewhere else.

Of course you're different than all of the other girls. They all supposedly are:D

I did mention the stereotype:rolleyes:

I don't know, the gay guys I knew were basically the same as this guy sounds.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

No, I never said he was in his 40's. I have very little in common with older men, so not only do I not date them, I don't usually develop friendships with them, either.

I actually am different than most women. I don't just "say" that...it also comes across quite clearly in my posts.

And no, he doesn't sound gay at all.

I dont think he sound gay either. And i know plently of gay men. And stop stereotyping too. Thats just ri-goddamn-diculous to stereotype good-looking men and say they're gay and who dont like women coming on to them all the time. When you say that, you pigeonhole the entire male race and say that in order to be a straight man, you have to like women hitting on you all the time, thus meaning that you think about sex all the time. Which is untrue. So by saying this guy is gay because he doesn't favor aggressive female attention, means that you have to like it in order to be straight. Which is a steaming pile of BS.

Wyldfire, i commend your friend for being old-fashioned when it comes to traditional gender roles. I'm like that too. I think there is nothing wrong with traditional gender roles when both parties believe in them. So what if he doesn;t like aggressive women? I CERTAINLY do not like men who aren't aggressive and overly feminine, i.e., men that force women to do all the work. Your friend is simply the male counterpart; he doesn't like aggressive women who are overly masculine.

Well, it's kind of funny because he is very, very fond of me and I have some masculine traits. I don't LOOK masculine, though and I would NEVER hit on a guy or approach him to ask him out first in a million years. I'm very old fashioned in a lot of ways, and that is one of them. He's much like I am in that respect. He's not at all bothered by my masculine side, though...but again...I mostly think like a guy while looking very feminine. It's a fairly unique mixture. He has a weakness for my "big hair 80's rocker chick biker biotch" look. :D

back to the orig post..

in my exp girls just do not care on the bus. they'll sit wherever, it appears to be random as far as i can tell.

the only way i get IOIs on the bus is when i sit near them, they'll glance a few times, keep talking to their friends/look out the window, then look back. that's all you can ask for, very very few girls have the confidence to chat up a stranger on the bus of all places

for those of you that think they're just looking out the window behind me, i look glance back and sometimes strike up a convo.

  • They don't want the person next to them to bother them.
  • For all they know, you're a serial rapist.
  • You put on way too much aftershave and smell like a skunk.

Those were the first 5 that came to mind, I'm sure that there are others. I highly doubt the only reason they don't sit down next to you is because they are so massively overwhelmed by your rugged good looks and killer fashion sense that they can't bear the thought of being next to you for fear you might reject them. Then again, that's just my .02

haha i would have not taken it that far but Girls a lot of time are more shye then guys, so just cause you can go sit beside a hot girl, does not mean they will sit beside you. I'v done little tests in the class rooms and stuff, and i Know i am fairly hot (prolly 7 or 8). I noticed they would not sit beside me, even if i sat around where they sit, so then i tried litght convo and they open right up and now sit beside me. And i was surprised how fast they went from acting like i dont exist to being very friendly

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
