"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Since the phone was invented this has plagued man (and maybe women) for ages.

I know for a fact even if the girl is interested (or uninterested) she'll tell you that and still wind up not calling.
Im pretty certain this is a shyt test cause this has happened to me on several occasions with the girl being interested.
naturally for me i end up calling them the day after the day they claimed to call (if they havent called yet).
up till this point im very curious as to why they do this.

Why do they do this?
How do you respond/react when they say this line and not call?

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Here's a better question for ya: why don't you avoid the situation by saying something along the lines of "well I'm just about to start [doing x], but I'll call you when I'm done"? Then call her in a few hours/next day.

Thought it might be a bit more useful than trying to answer this existentialist question...

Sometimes I find that when I am the one in the power position, that I kind of lose interest...even when it's that rare girl that I really want to get down with.

For example, after a girl has accepted my date and/or CLEARLY shown a sign of interest I will tend to call much later than was arranged. I know for a fact that is my own personal sh-t test. I have yet to call on the money and I don't know of any girl who has ever done that for me.

I've had things come up which have delayed the call even further. And then there is always that chance she may not respond, which always brings your day down...so what's the rush.

I can only assume that girls, who more often than not are in the driver's seat when it comes to taking a date into the action phase are doing the same. I've had girls forget about dates who also forget they have exams (!)-- so I don't think that interest level and failure to call are necessarily correlated.

Just 2 days ago: some girl I have known for months was clearly interested in getting together for lunch. We coordinated our lunch breaks and everything (which is HARD). I was set to call her the evening before to confirm the meeting place...I delayed and delayed cause I'm not crazy into her. Around 9:30pm I convinced myself to just do it before it's too late. Left a message. No reply and no callback from her...even 2 days later.

What was accomplished there? Silly games...on both sides. It was almost like we set a date to set a date.

The eternal question? The eternal question should be "are you happy doing what you're doing now?".

If you seriously believe what you're asking to be important, you probably should think about what it is exactly you're thinking about here a little better.

Why do they do this? How do I respond? C'mon man. Do you really believe you can get an answer? What would any answer do to help you anyway?

If I ever did wonder about something like that, I would ask the girl directly for the answer. Maybe that's what you should be doing. As for the response, I would do whatever else I feel like doing. If I'm thinking about the girl, I would call her. If I'm thinking about a movie I would watch it. If I'm thinking about seeing a friend I would call him/her. The key here is to do what you want to do. I don't enjoy thinking about a girl that flakes on me. So I don't. If you enjoy that sort of torment, I advise you to be a little more selfish.
