Depends on if you asked for HER number, or if she asked you out of the blue.
1) If she asks you that after you ask for HER number, it means you have no chance, because girls don't call. Say something like, "well, I don't really give my number out... sorry."
2) If she asked out of the blue, ask for a trade like Slimijs suggests.

I agree with Jin. Girls you can't plan $hit ahead of time, cause they are unpredicatable caniving creatures, out to mess up your genius gameplan. But ya gotta love them. Yeah, so if she does not give you her number, dont sweat it, there are a billion other girls.

@ drixsa, thats the problem I ALWAYS FACE....im too paranoid about the situation and Im nervous (I need to geta fukking cell phone thats why ! - parents pissing me off because i cant approach because home phone is always used)

That has only happened to me a couple of times but both times I responded by doing this:
(laughing, then saying) "Sorry the words, CHUMP are not tatted across my forehead, I don't play games like that."
Both times the girls were shocked by my reaction and laughed because they knew I was one up on what they were trying to pull. Got the number both times, didn't really lead to anything great, couple of get togethers, but it goes to show a girl can never resist a man being a man.

You guys must be doing something wrong when you ask a girl for her number. Probably acting like you have total hidden agendas or something. There's a right way to ask and a wrong way in my mind.
I've never been turned down a phone number before, so I know that it can't be that difficult to get a girl's phone number. To me, it's more difficult to plan a fun and original date sometimes than getting a number.
Just going up to a girl and asking for her number in a "hey baby, can I have your number" type of tone isn't going to cut it. You need to develop some rapport and get some convo going before you jump into the phone number request. Preferably talk about pretty neutral stuff or else you'll come off as fake. The kiss of death is sounding like you're trying to be some suave fellow or something. It's just too fake and they can see right through it.

I get this ALOT. Girls are always calling my house nonstop, it gets annoying, especially because I have a girlfriend. I never respond with anything catchy. The girls always call and want to hang out, I tell them I have a girlfriend and they don't care, it's ridiculous.

from real experience i can tell you that every time a girl has asked for my number shes called me. i can't even say that about myself. if anything women are better about calling when they have a phone number.
like i said. if they ask i don't get all excited like im being taken for a chump... i just get out a business card and write my name and number on it. if she calls she calls, if not so what. maybe my experience isn't good advise though because im pretty fvckin hot if i do say so myself

3. If they live with their parents and they give their numbers out to 10 dudes and then she looks like the wh@re that she is to her parents when they have 10 messages from 10 different dudes saying "they want to have sex with their daughter".
4. This is a sign that they want to be in control of the situation and take the place of the man and you are assigned the female role.

You can just say "you are under no obligation" and walk away - if they are truly interested then they'l succumb to your wishes and give you the digits. If anything, they know at least you ain't their chump!
