When you're growing duller (or older per se), you really don't have much else to live for. To me, at least, in my life, sex with women has been better than any drug (which make you lazier), but not better than any "high." The Best "highs" I've experienced in My life have been being the center of attention in sports like on the pitcher's mound and having Everyone in the stand watching blatant domination and the cheers and on-fire heat and accuracy I could bring. The being lauded and given game balls and just being celebrated (say at night in temperate weather, good smells). People thought I would go pro, million dollar arm all that mumbo jumbo, but I got hurt (right ankle) and never regained the coiling power I once had. But beyond that, the High of having others be in Awe of you was greater than any feeling. I know what it's like and few know that feeling if they haven't ever been there. MANY go through life never having been idolized, when people know who you are and you've never met them. Would that "status" lead to sex? Of course it would. Is that why the "high" felt so good? you knowing that women took notice and now wanted to be with you? Of course, that's part of the high feeling, the massive energy flowing through your body as you perform your work. You've got cheerleaders, you've got several cheering you on (not just your parents). But when it comes down to the actual SEX, um, after a while, it's fleeting and become ho-hum.
What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
