Why become a mod?

I was jw what the perks are of being a mod. Sure u can close threads and tell people to stop flaming, but is that it? Just curiouse, thanks

You missed a few things:

- Get to stick threads

- Move threads

- Edit threads

- Delete threads

- Merge and split threads

- Go to the secret Mod's Corner

That's about it.

Other than that, people become mods because Allen and the other mods feel they would be good as a mod. You volunteer because you want to help. That, plus the giant paycheck is great! (JK)

I think that being a 'mod' is the most highly coveted and overrated position of any on this site. How they get those guys to do what they do for free is entirely beyond me, but I'm glad they take the time to do it.
