Why are friends of girlfriends so easy to attract?

Not just girlfriends, but also girls you are dating and fooling around with.

I've noticed a lot of times that when it ends between me and a girl, her friends are quite interested. This can happen even though it didn't end pretty. Sometimes, even when we are still fooling around.

Why is that? I'd figure after a relationship or something in between single and a relationship has ended badly, the girl would talk to their girl friends and say how stupid that guy was etc. But even so, why are they interested? The girl lost her interest, so why should the other girls who know her be interested?

It's due to the so called 'boy-band' effect, which is very prevalent in the female mindset, especially here in the western world.

Women are (most of the time) attracted to someone that their friends or family view as attractive.

In this case, the mere fact that your ex went out with you means that :

1. You are wanted by women (your ex)
2. You are familiar to her (not a stranger)


Those two points ALONE, are already huge qualifiers with women....believe it or not .

Social proof, and also peer pressure. If a girl has friends who are getting action with guys, or are in a relationship, it puts pressure on her to get guys as well, meaning she will virtually jump at any opportunity to 'fit in' with her friends.

Easy, the fact that you were chosen meant something. Whether it ends good or bad, the ex-gf's friends are gonna want you because there was something about you that was attractive.
