In my opinion there is only 2 groups of people you should try and impress:
parents and teachers
This may seem obvious but I've been thinking about it for a while.
PARENTS
Lets start with your own parents. How much are you going to be able to do if your parents don't trust you? Not very much. At this point in my life my parents don't trust me very much. My dad wouldn't let me walk a mile to the fair because he thought I was going to sneak off somewhere.
Now, for friend's parents. If your friend's parents don't like you, they're not going to let their kid do stuff with you. My mom doesn't like me going to one of my friends house because he met her once and made a REALLY bad impression.
Lastly, "her" parents. This is a big one. You want her parents to like you and trust you. If they trust you they'll let her stay out with you later and be more open to other things. I always try to do the same thing and it works pretty well. I just stand up straight, look them in the eye, and be sure to speak clearly. Manners help a little too

TEACHERS
School practically dictates your life when you are young. I'm not saying be the teacher's pet, you can tell that some teachers hate suck ups. Just pay attention and participate. Look them in the eyes too. It's not too different, just come off as confident. Teachers that like you are a lot more willing to help you out.
I don't know if someone has posted something like this recently, so I thought I'd do it. Feel free to say whatever you want.
