"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I've been going out with this girl for a little over a week now. The first date was preceded by us hanging out at the mall. It was a last minute thing. She wanted to hang out. The next night we were supposed to go bowling, but she says she doesn't like bowling, so we end up having dinner and going to the batting cages. For the rest of the night we drive around town trying to find a park that isn't occupied, with no success. She also tells me that she doesn't really enjoy going to the movies, but she does enjoy playing videogames. What else is there to do? Yesterday, I picked her up and brought her back to my place, then we went to eat, washed my car, and then walked around the park for a while. I want to do something with her this weekend, but she doesn't seem to like doing much of anything.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I'd be careful wit that type. the ones who don't seem to like to do anything. You just stated seeing this one too, not a good sign at all. They usually r dumb as sh*t and have a very short attention span. Very narrow minded as well. I dated 2 girls like that. One of them never wanted to do a thing, i was whipped and ended up sititng on her couch with her parnts on frid and sat nights almost religiously. We'd go out to dinner thats all, and i couldnt even take her somewhere nice or at least, she wanted to do diners all the time, the one right by her house. And we live a train ride a way from manhattan. I couldnt not understand this at all. Valentines day i took her to a nice italain restaurant, and she kept sayin u know it woulda been nice at home. (her parents were home that nite) So strange. She hated goin to the movies, broadway plays, comedy clubs, pool, bowling, pretty much anything. She'd want me to go to the gym with her and id go soemtimes and she wanted to leave after 10 mins. She had the attention span of a hosue fly. Not sayin your girl is like this but watch out. if ur in it for the noookie then hey who cares :)

I guess it's not so much that she doesn't like doing things, but rather she doesn't want to do them when I suggest them. She was hinting that she didn't want to go bowling, because she doesn't like sports, yet two minutes later she suggests the batting cages? She says she doesn't like movies much, unless it's cold outside. I don't really care what we ****ing do at this point. I'm just trying to get to know her.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Sounds like a good enough reason to just ask her what she does in her spare time. There's two of you y'know, it's doesn't have to always be up to you for entertainment. Each of you should pull your own weight.

I have asked her what she likes to do, and all I ever get is "just hang out". This weekend I'm not even going to ask her to do anything with me, I'm just going to tell her that I'm picking her up.

You have more fortitude than me. That type of woman just bores me to tears. Don't get me wrong, I've had women hang out with me when I went grocery shopping or other regular mundane activities but the thing was that they were active with me and not just hanging around like a loose thread.

Good for you for taking the reigns. Hopefully you're picking an activity that you enjoy at least a little.

Well, my plan is to pick her up and then make a trip to Toys "R" Us where I'll purchase the board game, "Boggle". Then it's possible that I might stop somewhere for some wine. She said she likes wine. After that, we'll head back to my place where if all goes well, we'll end up doing some serious making out, if not more.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
