"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Where have all the real men gone?

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

From the article: said:
Femaleness is a motherhood value. Men have no such ground, no shared keeping-house of essential male virtue...
Thanks a lot b1tch! But seriously, how about moral integrity, a "rock," and a provider of the security that every female needs? Are these not male qualities that no woman could ever possess, no matter how hard she tries to mimic them?

The article saddens me in that it poses the question as to whether or not masculinity can ever recover from the death spiral in which it currently finds itself. Men can still try to be men, but how long until the very act of being masculine is met with jail time? I fear we're almost at that stage, the ultimate Catch-22 for the survival of society.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I think it would take a worldwide catastrophe to make that happen. Modern easy life makes it easy for men to be soft and survive. In the mean time the each of us who are working towards becoming real men need to keep challenging themselves in order to bring out their masculinity.

No Country for Old Men...

Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) - great character, and an excellent example of "real man" behavior. Quietly strong, does what he needs to do, doesn't over-explain what he's going to do, to his woman.

To bad that in real life he is an AFC. (Read his interview with GQ magazine few months ago).

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

You really feel the need to make a political joke in this forum? ESPECIALLY with the state the repubes have put our country in?

How about this one. Republicans are stupid men that get us stuck in Iraq.

If George W. Bush and his cronies are being upheld as "real men," then we have some serious problems.

That othersideofkim or whatever link was pure overcompensating drivel. It sounded like it was written by my redneck uncle that lives in a trailer.

Anyway, It's tv and media fault. They make people to think that men have no value at all.

In TV show men are always apologizing, screwing things up, being weak, etc.

Are all Brazilian women psycho? Because one tried to kill me recently.

G'day Jose, I am from Australia and people down here ARE mostly fans of the USA. To us Aussies, a friend is a friend for LIFE not just when it suits.

I would prefer ANYONE running the country, except Hillary.

Buenos noches, SXS.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I'm not saying Repubs are better than Dems. To me they both suck....but it doesn't take a genius to note that pretty much the majority of women vote democrat.

And hey, if you're a man that thinks it's cool to take the income of another person to distribute it to the "needy" then by all means, cut off your penis and join the femmes. Quit thinking with your heart and emotions and use logic and accountability instead.

That's not even the issue I'm concerned about. Maybe you should rethink your priorities like never ending failing wars and 12 billion a week to Iraq.

But you are more worried about not helping poor people.

I'm more worried about people thinking they are entitled to a piece of my labor and Dems are at the core of that.

And I hate Bush so don't get me started on the man that thinks the Constitution is just a piece of paper....

However as far as the war and the 12 billion a week in Iraq.....well that whole scam/lie/fiasco has one good side, it kept us out of a depression (at least temporarily). We need to spend that 12 billion a week to keep our economy afloat.

Iraq has brought the defecit to 3 trillion dollars. You call that helping the economy?

WTF HAPPENED TO THIS THREAD???
I read the OP when it first posted, and I thought
that article kicked ass.
Now I sign on and I read some
ludicrous simplistic bull**** being tossed
about.
I'm as left-wing as they come and, idealogy
aside, I think the supposition that only real
men are necessarily conservative or Republican
is about as insightful as George W. Bush's deer in
the headlights stare.

To understand that, you need to understand that our money is only borrowed into existence. Our banks lend 10 dollars and expect 11 dollars payment in return....but only 10 exist because only 10 have been created.

So how is one to repay that 11th dollar? They borrow more.....

Why do you think the Great Depression happened after the 1929 market crash? Because credit was destroyed, the money supply dropped and deflation happened.

Same thing in Japan for the last 15 years.....

It would happen in the US too, if we didn't lower interest rates and go to war. Learn how money works, and you learn how politics work too.
What is your education level?

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
