WHere can i learn about drinks?

I don't know a thing about aloholic drinks... I know beer is beer and that's about it. Id like to set up my own little bar in my house, maybe learn how to mix a few drinks or something, at least know the difference between different types.

Go to the book store and buy a few books.. theres tons.. or just read em there.


Then go to a nice big liqour store and stock up..

Buy Playboy's "Bartender's Guide - Deluxe Edition". This thing is the Bible of alcoholism... take it from a pro. It's pretty cheap, too ($11.70 used on Amazon)... definitely worth every penny. It's even got a little red ribbon attached to it like real bibles do... not to mention detailed explanations of everything regarding mixology... from what the types of cups are and what they can be made of to the origins of the different types of alcohol.
