"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Any of you ever feel no matter how good you try to live and be the best person you can be you always wind up coming in second "best" to the person you are after?

Like you go through life trying to be your best and whenever you think you are there and all the signs point to positive it winds up not being true? Almost like you feel someone out there is playing a joke on you?

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

I'm just talking about going through life trying to improve to be the best you can be and at every point with meeting a girl it seems no matter how good you are there always seems to be someone they like just a bit better. Almost as if someone is watching your life from up above and playing a joke on you.

I was just wondering if anyone else ever felt that way.

I am young, disregard that fact. there will always be better opportunities for the women, the best you can possibly DO is improve yourself.

Women come and go, that is what this forum specifically taught me. Good luck my friend!

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

You can't win every battle, take this as a learning curve. There are desperate horn dogs out there that will give them money and securities.

F** them, you are who you are, you will not attract them all, but for DAMN sure you will be living the DJ ways, you are on this site, no question.

Edit: Women are out to look for the better c0ck, I've learned this the worst way. In the end, All women care about is:

Looks
Money
Fame

Sorry if I offended the mass PUA's. This is a forum for men to better themselves, NOT GETTING LAID.

Yes, I have. Even though I always usually managed to have a girlfriend, I always felt that there was some kind of cosmic law or force that prevented me from attracting women. I know exactly what you're talking about.

I'm convinced that in most cases this "cosmic law" stems from the lack of a male figure for a little boy to model as he grows up. In such cases, there is no foundation, and a man needs to spend years trying to jack up the house in order to lay the bricks of a foundation that was never built. That may or may not be your situation, but it think it applies to a lot of men who have difficulty in this area. My dad was a great guy, but largely absentee and to this day I'm paying the price of his absence.

Keep at it, Bumsniff. We live in a time of incredibly fickle women, and unless you do the monkey dance that makes them clap with glee (something I can never do), you will have to take pride in the fact that you're bettering yourself day by day, and will start attracting more scarce, but higher quality women.

They must be pretty damn scarce...

It's like growing up and being taught to treat women with respect (as well as yourself first and foremost), your parents having a still going long lasting marriage, friends and family getting or gotten married but whomever you seem to choose just uses you as entertainment time till someone better comes along...like the saying goes no matter how good you are there's always someone better. Being faithful, trustworthy, funny, a good person, etc is almost meaningless (or for some reason taken as signs of not a real man or actually negative seeing as most girls seem to prefer drama/ or challenges.)

I'm not settling but it just seems like either someone's somehow 'looking out for me' for something I don't see in the girls I've liked or playing a joke on me everytime to see if I break. lol

Maybe it's just sometimes no matter what you do your best will never be enough. (No crazy thoughts here. Just maybe accepting the reality that some people are meant to be alone.)

If you accept that you'll be alone, you will be. You shape your reality. Tired of feeling like second best? Become the best.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
