when too much attention is given

I'm in a new class and trying to get to know the persons. (We have a special school system here in Sweden, the same persons have the same classes all the time) So I am trying to get to know 'em.

With the girls, I joke around with them and such, talk to them, joking about them and me ironically and such... the thing is, they don't want to talk with me or they are shy to me, so they don't often initialize a conversation. When I tell them something about me, I feel that they don't wanna know about me.

I think I am giving them too much attention and that makes them think I am needy.. Any other people experienced this and know how to solve the problem?

Well if you think you've been giving them too much attention then give them less. Also when you are talking to them rather than telling them about you, why not ask them some questions about themselves, maybe twist the words of some of their answers to tease them. Make them laugh at themselves.

Yeah, I am doing that, teasing them and making them laugh about themselves. I ask them questions about themselves too, but they still not want to know anything about me? Maybe these girls are very egoistical?

maybe, just be cool and it'll come, youll have plenty of time to know them, in my country we have the same system kinda, I was really shy, didnt talkmuch, still I made friends with 95% of the people and were all still friends

no no needy is when u are dating a girl and u r begging to spend time with them. Just dont tell them about you, you should keep them guessing. Keep the convo interesting and put in alittle kino.
