Uh, totally screws up this entire thread. Sick not because of ages but because those involved were in fields that are held in high regard. As far as understanding the law - please no legal advice!

Because all the students involved were 16 or older, none of the adults will be charged because the teens were old enough to consent under state law, according to the sheriff’s reports.

And yes, all this talk about school makes me wonder why "Sweet Valley High" was never given the respect that "California Dreams" was?? SVH (as those of us in the know call it) had it all. It was syndication heaven. Yeah, the first season was by far the best...BUT...with the deluxe box set (that I own...amazon.com!) I can relive it every night before bed. "California Dreams" on the other hand was horrible. Boring, bland, and that one girl looked like a doberman. Now, Saved By the Bell THE NEW CLASS wasn't so bad. The New Class ripped to pieces what was one of the most over-hyped shows in history - The original Saved By The Bell.
