Your at some place with lots of people, for example a bookstore or grocery store, and you see an HB that you want to approach. You don't know if she's there with her man because she is alone for the moment. Do you (1) ask "Are you with someone" before introducing yourself or whatever, or (2) skip (1) and just go straight to the approach?

Or...any other ideas?

If she's alone, chat her up. You have no way of knowing whether she's single, and she's mindful of that fact.

If her man approaches, be aggressively friendly by chatting him up. Get him to like you.

That's a good question. I will partially agree with Big Pappy on that you need to introduce yourself to start anything, however approach is everything. The style matters a lot. Approaching a woman infront of her mother is not very dj like, neither is approaching her infront of her man. Some people need to drop the "tough guy dj" attitude and learn technique and finesse. If you approach her the way Big Pappy describes "with her man, her mother" you will come off as a weird desperate fool. There's enough weirdo on this planet, you dont need to come off as one.

I feel this way. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose. Worst comes to worst, her man might come by and say "honey, who's this." That'll be your cue that she's probably taken . If that happens, you've lost nothing. Perchance that she's actually single, then you can proceed.

I always find it funny when other guys try to make friends with a girls bf or husband or whatever.

While there are nieve guys in the world, many are not.

Many guys who are dating a hot young women know that another guy only wants to bang their women and not be friends.

Why even try to pretend? Are you that insecure to find somebody on your own or are you that nieve to think that your playing it cool and the BF doesn't know anything?
