I have found that a woman's line of questioning usually follows the lead of what the guy is presenting. Therefore: the woman will typically be more apt to ask that type of question if the guy is the one asking her the question first.

Not even lying: once I knew to stop asking this question to them (so that I wouldn't have to answer it back), I found that none of the girls I'd take on first dates would ask me. In fact, sometimes it wouldn't be until after I took them out a few times and/or slept with them that they'd realize they had no idea what I actually did as a "job!"

Bottom line: the easiest way to answer the question... is to avoid having it come up as a topic in the first place by not presenting it out there. Again, she's following YOUR lead, guys - if you don't start out by asking HER boring questions, she usually won't ask them to you either.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
